Not a Shana series without a melonpan, right? I was kinda beginning to feel the lack of it….

Nothing much to say, since this is transition episode, with some characters kind of properly introduced. Well can’t blame the producers since there was a freaking war going on. Mainly a lot of reflection plus Shana leading the way now, providing the rest with a guidepost to follow. I like how Sophie just casually admits they lost badly. Also, why does Marcoh need to be belted in during car trips? Kinda funny isn’t it…

Well, we’ll finally get to meet the three other Gods of the Earth next week, while Bal Masque heads to Japan. I have to say, Shana is getting pretty damn international now lol.

Also, worth mentioning that the 2nd ED now has a proper sequence now and it’s got quite a lot of nice static action shots of the characters.

Hell, even makes me wish they would release an artbook of the ED. Gotta love all the effort they’re pouring in to the show this season.

Just when you think it was safe to recommend this show…

Lesson learned: Never seriously piss off Ichika-san. Poor Rinon…

Quite a funny episode as we learn of the more… impulsive side of Ichika, as the both of them struggle to recover from the awkwardness of last week. Glad to see the sock puppets making a return from Twins www. The shopping malls of Karuizawa doesn’t seem to have changed much from those times too. So many familiar sights, only now in high definition.

Tetsurou’s sister was a fun interruption, but hopefully that will be the last of her. She doesn’t quite fit in to the character chemistry mix of the show… but then maybe that’s the effect they were going for. And it also looks like the past four weeks have merely been the prologue/setup for the show, guess the real drama’s going to start now.

Now, about that random HSotD insert in this episode…. foreshadowing? I know there’s a bit of Kaito zombie jokes floating around.

Nightmare Fuel much?

Well, Symphogear continues to impress me with how far it will go towards being serious and gory. It’s only the fourth episode and one of the main leads has used up her final weapon and lies almost dead… and all she managed to do was to deal a pretty damaging blow towards the bad guy.

Guess this should finally spur Hibiki in to actually taking shit seriously now that she’s the only Symphogear left. Though I’m not too sure how serious is she seeing this…
