The second arc of Henneko ends with quite a dramatic outcome, as it turns out Tsukiko can harbour pretty dangerous feelings herself despite her cuteness. Well, I guess that’s on par for the course if you have a whimsical cat god in your household that has the ability to grant your wishes, even if it does it in the most outrageous ways possible. This just only makes me more and more curious what calamity befell the Tsutsukakushi households previously thanks to that cat god. Plus there was that teaser that Yokodera’s been somewhat involved in things in the past too.

Surprisingly though, Tsukushi’s transformed from being merely a baka sister to a solid contender in the harem… even if she’s still baka enough to not realize that she’s in love with the same person as Tsukiko! But really, she’s been extremely charming the entire arc and with the backing of a solid VA like Yukarin…. let’s just say baka moe isn’t too bad a choice either!

Of course, all this attention to the Tsutsukakushi sisters means poor ol’ Azuki Azusa got left in the sidelines a lot… but she still had her charming moments. I would reconsider the soccer team dream though, that’s just a bit too much there! The episode does end with her making another wish to change herself to the cat god, but given the track record of wishes so far, wonder what’s going to happen to the poor girl this time.

Nevertheless, the lolicons are in for a real treat next week…

Shit just gets weirder and weirder too with this week’s Valvrave starting with a FLASH FORWARD 214 years(?) ahead, where the Valvraves got a Hyakushiki makeover and the Space Nazis have been ruling. This brings in to a lot of weird SPECULAH possibilities with the Valvraves, Haruto, L-Elf and co. with α and β timelines possibilities coming in to play. Is that why L-Elf is precognizant? It can’t be because he’s…. right?

I was almost sad how predictable things turned out to be in this episode, with the revelation the whalesquids are Hideauze and that the locals worship them as sacred and that Ledo would embark on the route of hamartia to do what he thinks is the “right” thing to do; to kill them all no matter the cost. Comparisons with a memorable quote from Avatar have been duly noted as well.

The second half of the episode was quite nerve-wracking too. I was almost expecting casualties to happen but luckily, nothing of the sort materialized. And now, we’re on to the next big conflict, as the foolhardy Pinion tries to take advantage of the situation, but we all know that’s not going to end well.

On the bright side, the Butcher Bingo finally gets updated this week!

Where do I even start? The part where they reinforced Kyousuke’s massive siscon boner for Kirino for half the episode? Or the part where Kirino and Manami both gently urge him to go out with Kuroneko? Or is it the part where Kyousuke totally loses his mind after accepting the confession and starts asking people he just knew about when to grope someone’s boobs? This episode was a total trainwreck through and through.

Even if Kuroneko went totally dere and cute at this episode, there’s this sinking feeling that she knows she’ll never be able to win over Kirino, but she can damn well delude herself in to thinking Kyousuke ACTUALLY wants to go out with her. Sigh…. I knew this was going to be a terrible thing, but I didn’t expect it to be THIS terrible. No wonder people were burning stuff.

Phew! Seriously this episode was just too full of cute/sexual/hilarious moments. From the random Yukarin lewd sounds, Fukubuchou’s…. admonishment of Yokodera (white fluid man hahahahhaah), Tsukiko being so deathly cute and Azuki Azusa almost getting belly-button raped by Yokodera, this show is proving to be a goddamn solid watch each week.

Fanservice aside though, there’s still the continuing thread of serious character development lurking beneath the surface, as the Tsutsukakushi’s situation slowly come to light. I really wonder what happened in the past that both Tsukushi and Tsukiko seem to suffer from some serious emotional/psychological damage. Clearly, Tsukushi’s siscon is a aggravation caused by this undefined incident, and it feels like Tsukiko is also reaching out for someone to help her and her sister as well.

Still, the new Cat God is truly…. powerful. One really does have to be extra careful when dealing with it, especially after it did just DESTROY THE WORLD lol.

Can’t wait for the next episode already, how will one man’s perversion help revert the Siscon Apocalypse?

This episode was not what I expected from the preview. Our cast gets randomly dragged out for a summer camp volunteering and, as per the formula, meet someone with some social problems as well. Considering how the cast keeps getting bigger and bigger, adding more random characters in at this juncture felt a bit rushed and we’re back to the “Yukinoshita being an unfriendly bitch” stage back. Just when she was looking so cute, going on a date together with Hachiman…. sigh

Still, the episode provided a number of laughs, and dear god all the slightly disturbing, could-be-construed-as-lolicon comments from Hayato at times…. well, guess Hachiman’s lucky he doesn’t swing that way anymore! Making him a rorikon too isn’t really going to do wonders for his already terrible rep.
