I forgot how hilariously socially-inept Kikaijima was at first during the early parts of the series. Needless to say, this was a pretty good episode thanks to her antics… until they got to the selfish hack artist who was Shinn_Asuka’s self-insert instead :(.

Well, next week finally reaches the disciplinary committee arc. Time for shit to go down.

Man, Aquarion reaching drama critical point now. And ZEN is still fucking around as usual… Stalker ZEN was pretty LOL though. Now I keep looking behind my back to see if he’s really around.

Also this episode was named wrongly. I mean, a third of the episode was ZEN fucking with Mikono, while the other third was Amata confronting his mommy issues. Which left the other third for the rest lol. Given that this is the 20th episode already…. I am really thinking this show is not going to end on a good note.

Special kudos to Kyoto Animation for the accuracy of the Malaysian post cards too. The stamp is an actual one used about 7 years back.

Happy Mother’s Day, Kiritsugu.

While I can admire Kiritsugu’s ability to ‘cut’ off his feelings as he pulls the trigger, it’s a different matter for the man himself. While his origin allows to ‘cut’ off his feelings, but ‘tying’ them back together to the man himself is where he can’t seem to resolve it properly.

Every time he chooses these drastic measures, apparently for the sake of the most effective, efficient way of doing it, it just feels to me he’s totally given up on the world and doing it out of spite. As if pulling a tantrum that never really ends. Towards the world that denied him a beautiful place in it. And where justice is present and all encompassing.

It’s like what Natalia says, he’s just too much of a machine in one way. But additionally, he’s too human in the other way. In that manner, Shirou feels a lot more respectable to me now.

I can’t say objectively tsuritama is the better show this noitaminA, but subjectively it’s building up a surprisingly great rapport with viewer towards the characters, even if I tend to phase out (i.e. read twitter) every time any one of them gets to a long infodump about fishing techniques and equipment comparisons.

Also I now know how expensive fishing can be. It’s not just getting some string and a stick eh….

This show is certainly taking a very organic approach towards its storytelling.

Out of nowhere, a reunion with Mom episode. Just because it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow? I hope not.

Not liking the developments with Jun and Yurika though… on second thought, Kaoru might have gotten off light eh?
