Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun OP Theme: Yubikiri

Man, this song and Furefurepponpon! are too damn addictive >.<. I think I’ve racked up like a 100 repeats for Yubikiri and 150 for Furefurepponpon! already.

Anyways, here’s the lyrics to Yubikiri as well, which is kinda nice after you get used to it. I still love the chorus part of Yubikiri a lot, the lyrics for it are pretty meaningful :). Credits goes 100% to geister.

Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun ED Theme: Furefurepponpon!

Seriously, addictive song. I’ve listened to it at least 40 times already since yesterday >.<

A friend of mine, geister, takes all the credits for doing the transliteration of the song. I only did some QC checks and arranged the lyrics according to the original sheet.

That being said, this song was surprisingly pretty long on the lyrics. I kinda tried to translate it as well, but there’s quite a number of words that are hard to translate properly to English, so I scrapped the idea in the end.

Ninomiya-kun OP Single

Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun

Is it me, or is Reika conspicuously flat in this cover?

キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━ !!!!!

Yay! It’s finally out! I’ve been waiting for it for a long time! You won’t believe how deep Yubikiri was stuck in my head for the past few weeks.

Well, sad to say that Yubikiri full version was rather disappointing to me, since I felt it lost the “oomph” and beat of the TV version in the conversion to the full 3 minutes version. Sometimes, I feel that they write the songs for the TV version first, then only haphazardly make the song longer for the single :(.

On the other hand, the full version Furefurepponpon still manages to keep the “oomph” and beat of the TV version throughout the song and I must say, I can’t stop looping the song for now. In fact, I’m on my 20th round as I’m writing this lol. Fure fure~ adorena-escalation!

Gotta say too, the jacket design is done in the old fashioned way too, so it really makes me nostalgic somewhat, of the era where “cheap fanservice” shows were the dominant genre. Not that I want that era back, but well, my moe sense was fashioned during those times, so it just brings me back :P.

FUCK YEAH, YOU ARE THE BEST ALBUM NAME EVER. TRACK TWO, YOU ARE THE BEST TRACK NAME EVAR!

Ok, 4chanism aside, this album really is LOL. Last of the Lucky Star character albums, and they MUST poke fun of Konata, Yutaka and Minami.

Overall, not a bad album. Track 1 was kinda boring, but track 2 is definitely nice to listen, even more with such win name, “Lolita Teikoku Bishoujo Taitei”. “Lolita Teikoku” = “Lolita Empire”, but can’t seem to get what “Bishoujo Taitei is, lol.

Lucky Star Shirashi Ending CD

Lucky Star

Hahahahaha, this CD is finally out. Oh man, can’t stop laughing…. hahahahaha!!!!

Anyways, the CD booklets and stuff are all totally in white, I guess they don’t wanna waste too much if the CD bombs.

On to the music, the first 13 tracks of the CD are basically direct rips of the TV ED’s he’s done, complete with all the background noise and shit. Not exactly the best part of the CD, unless you want his Ore no wasuremono song.

The next four tracks are full songs, professionally recorded and all, and the tracks are his now-infamous Ore no Wasuremono, Shikaider no Uta (oh god I hope they don’t make a series out of this), Kaorin no Theme and Koi no Minorun Densetsu.

Surprisingly, I must say, he really can sing. And pretty well at that too. Kaorin no Theme is a nice, slowly sung love ballad, which kinda makes me wonder if he, uh, likes Kaori Fukuhara. Koi no Minorun Densetsu is basically a rock version of the original song, with customized lyrics for Shirashi. Shikaider no Uta is…uh, well, a song you’d expect from a sentai or henshin show. Lastly, his Ore no Wasuremono is a enka-style song, themed on his now infamous lines.

Out of this 4, I’d say my favourite is Kaorin no Theme and it’s going to my permanent playlist… a wonder considering that the only other male singers on it now are JAM Project and Sambomaster :o.

Shoko-tan Coverx2 Anison CD

Shoko-tan

Otaku idol Shoko Nakagawa just released a second CD containing her own versions of famous anime songs, with this CD containing, among others, 1/2 from Rurouni Kenshin and the classic, Catch You Catch Me from Cardcaptor Sakura, both favourites of mine.

I must say, I find it really interesting to listen to other singers sing famous songs, and I can say, Shoko-tan’s 1/2 and Catch You Catch Me are pretty pleasant to listen to, although I will acknowledge her voice is still rather rough and still bland.

Give the CD a try, the other songs on this CD include a song from Utena, Esther Mami and Gundam F91, which I’m not going to comment on, since I’ve not listened to them before.

HiguKai OPED released! Wai~~! Wai~~!

HiguKai

Whee~~ finally out! Naraku no Hana and Taishou-a!

First off, I must say, awesome, awesome covers. Rika and Hanyuu is total <3 :)!

On the songs themselves, I’ll say Naraku no Hana initially wasn’t what I expected. The electronica-ish buildup at the beginning caught me off guard a bit until the familiar slow intro we’ve gotten to love kicks in. The song kinda had some gaps as well in the some of the middle parts and overall, kinda felt empty at times. Still, I’ve grown to love it after a few loops of it.

Taishou-a, meanwhile, is up to expectations and it’s getting really close to be my favorite of the two songs. The slow and melancholic feel of the song really embodies the tragic elements of the Higurashi series.

Nanoha StrikerS Soundstage II : Episode 14.5

StrikerS Soundstage II

While the show is going more and more to the dumps, the 2nd Soundstage is released and it seems they’ve fit in the character development parts in it instead of the show. Contrary to the cover image, the focus is actually more on Fate, Elio and Kyaro, as they face, well, family problems :P. But hot damn, Vivio is moe! Moe! Still it kinda scares me whenever I realise her seiyuu is the same one who voiced Yuuno. Plus… she truly looks like a clone of Alisa :P.

Track by track summary after the jump. There’s not really much interesting things as the last Soundstage was, but it does have much character development.

Lucky Star Karaoke Box CD

Aya Hirano is crack. Damn crack. She’s like freaking high on herself lol.

First off, her “Sore ga ai deshou” was pretty bland, until the 3rd minute where she goes high and starts singing in alternate serious and Konata voice. God, I so LMAO’ed.

Next, MONKEY MAGIC is even more crack. Why? Aaya-chan failing hard singing in English.

And Aya’s CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA is full of over-the-top screaming and win.

Gotta love Kagamin for being so cute. I can almost feel her deredere-ness when she keeps failing the high tones

And Miyuki (Endo Aya) really has awesome singing voice. Chijou no Hoshi is pretty awesomely rendered by her.

Finally, everyone’s favourite, Doraemon no Uta rendered by Konata, Kagamin and Tsukasa <3.

The rest of the songs are pretty nice as well, and this is probably one of more interesting and fun to listen CD’s in a while. Ahhh, I so wanna buy it!!! Why am I already in red this month OTL…..
