Manga creator Arina Tanemura (Full Moon wo Sagashite) will end The Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross manga in the July issue (on sale on June 3) of Shueisha’s Ribon magazine — and start a new manga called Mistress Fortune in the same issue. The announcement was made in the current monthly issue, which was released on May 1. The magazine says this is the first time that an artist has ended a series and started a new one in the same issue. Mistress Fortune will launch with a 52-page installment, including a color insert at the beginning. There will need to be at least 10 volumes to finish The Gentlemen’s Alliance Cross in Japanese, and Viz Media will publish the sixth volume in English next month. Viz Media has also published or licensed Tanemura’s I.O.N., Full Moon wo Sagashite, Short-Tempered Melancholy, and Time Stranger Kyoko, while CMX published Kamikaze Kaitō Jeanne.

So it’s finally ending. To be honest, I’ve been a big fan of the series ever since I tried reading the first chapter on a whim quite a while back. The combination of awesome art, likable cast of characters and insanely dramatic turns of story have kept me hooked all this while, and the series is one of the rare ones that I actually buy the English releases of.

Honestly speaking, though, reading till the latest chapters, I do feel the ending is gonna be quite the cop-out, being already clear as day as to how it will end. Yet still, it’s been an awesome read, and I hope it will end satisfactorily.

I eagerly await Arina-sensei’s new series, and it seems like she’s going back to her fantasy roots again, with Mistress Fortune.

In the meantime, I still need to collect the rest of Full Moon wo Sagashite… orz.

Oh wow. Dark Negi finally appears. Looks like things will finally go up a notch from here.

I’m pretty impressed with Akamatsu, for actually putting Negi on the way of darkness. Not many shounen manga choose to have their protagonists consciously choose to go down this path.

Maria is just so awesome and cute at times likes this.

Also, LOL at the “elevator action”, he he ^^.

hitomi’s insert songs are surprisingly very fitting with the doujin. This part of the doujin fits in well with “Stories”, while “Innocent Days” and “paradiso” are perfect accompaniments to RE-TAKE AFTER.

I found this awesome MAD of Studio Kimigabuchi’s RE-TAKE a.k.a The Best Evangelion Doujin Ever®. I have to say, the work on this MAD is astoundingly awesome and I especially love the good combination of song in the second half… Asuka T_T.

For those who don’t know, the first song is “Inner Universe” by Origa, the Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex OP, and the second song is “innocent days” by hitomi from Code Geass.

HOLY SHI-… Maria in a sailor-fuku. Now she DEFINITELY looks 17 (wait, wait, Maria, I didn’t mean it that way!!!)

Oh god, she is easily the most awesome character in the series.

Oh god, how much more awesome Black Lagoon can get? They even have a lolita DFC Mad Dog Meido in the latest chapter, and oh boy, I’ve fallen in love with that sharp attitude of here. Fabiola <3.

I can’t wait till they make the 3rd season of Black Lagoon. Fabiola and Roberta both DESERVE it.

Finally, Negima has reached the magical number of 200 chapters. One really wonders how long will Negima progress onwards from here.

So they introduce another new character from Nagi’s old group, Racan of the Thousand Swords.

Oh yes, why is this so awesome?

Oh yes. Akari is awesome. God damn, they better give her more screen time if they want this series to be successful.

Probably what makes Night Wizard so entertaining is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. Also, the producers are inserting a lot of comedy in to the show, which really makes it pretty enjoyable. I definitely loved that Renji was bumped down a whole year just to be in the same class as Elis to protect her. Seriously, that has to be damn embarrassing for him, hell, I would be positively mad. Anzelotte is pretty brutal towards Renji :D.

You’re Under Arrest: Full Throttle 02

Oh wow, the cheese factor in this episode was OVER9000, for god’s sake. At the least they closed this arc already, halfway in the episode, I almost thought they were gonna make Miyuki and Natsuki take care of the kid for like, the rest of the series. Wow, I would like to see Nakajima’s face if it happens, lulz.

Also, awesomely, Miyuki manages to wake Natsumi in time for work. XD.

Kaiji 02

You got suckered, d’oh!

Wow. He’s such an idiot. Can’t blame him though, it’s easy to get suckered in those conditions, but crying out and attacking the guy is just… classic. Btw, loved the minor 24 reference, gg for him, at that time.

It’ll be interesting to see how he manages to get back 5 stars with only 5 cards.

P.S. Forgot to say this, but much <3 for Triad for doing this show.

Not a bad first episode, though they seemed to have cut and pasted a few chapters of the 1st volume together.

Poor Aoki-sensei… he’s got a long, long way ahead for him.
