Despite news on the contrary, which reached me through the grapevine, I am unfortunately not able to attend this year’s AFA due to assignment and exams gangrape by my university. Honestly, this year’s a bit too expensive for me as well, what with the entrance tickets and concert ticket prices rising up to a pretty premium compared to last year. Besides, I’m not gonna pay to see Shoko-tan eat cats on stage! I really wanted to hear Mamoru Hosoda talk (WTF 600 SGD ARE YOU GUYS CRAZY?) and Aki Toyosaki live though…. sob sob sob.

You guys have fun with stalking Danny Choo then. /shrug.

Twitter is addictive

Yeah it is. Now I get why it’s such a phenomenon. I’ve been actually on Twitter for the past 2 weeks or so and I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with it.

Lilium Music Box Project

An interesting email came to me via reader rynstone, who informed me that there’s a dedicated group of Elfen Lied fans who are trying to a Lilium music box, a very important memento of Lucy in the Elfen Lied series.

The group has managed to persuade Sankyo, a Japanese company, to make the music box mechanism but it requires a one-time project fee of USD 670 + about USD 7 per mechanism to produce and they are looking for fellow fans or kind donators to contribute to the fee.

Personally, I think this isn’t a bad undertaking and it does result in very interesting piece of merchandise. Fellow Elfen Lied fans can visit their website/forums at http://stromnova.webs.com/ to register and find out how to donate.

The ticket prices are relatively reasonable considering the scale of the event. Hey it’s at least cheaper than AFA was! From what I hear, the AWSM tickets are pretty limited in quantity, so whoever wants them better go and grab them ASAP before it’s sold out.

Hey! I maybe brief but I’m not lazy! ｬダヽ(ｏ`皿′ｏ)ﾉ

Besides, the other two musketeers already provide a comprehensive joke coverage on the grope… spatula.. whatever.

To be honest though… when Taiga got thrown in the water and her fake boobs came off, I was kinda pitying her too much to actually laugh. When Ryuuji put it back in despite knowing the abuse he’ll probably suffer later, I thought that was kinda manly…

Renai Blogger was kinda short

Finished plowing through Hinano’s Renai Blogger, and it made for quite a good laugh and enjoyable hour for me.

While I appreciate the effort she put in it, I have to say the game doesn’t meet up to my mark due to two things:

It’s too short. All the romantic development happened so suddenly. It does make me wish that real life emulates the game more though. So easy to score with girls!
No Impz route.

Seriously, why no Impz route? S/he was easily the hottest character of the game! T.T

Impressions on the other girls:

CJ: Pretty normal, pretty cute. Gotta lol at the volleyball part and also nice Nanoha cosplay there.
Natsuko: 16 IS NOT LOLI, OKAY!
Jen: Second hottest girl after Impz. Probably because I prefer older, mature ladies. Her route was kinda bland though.
Hinano: Typical tsundere character. Took me a while to get her route flag up, but hers was the most entertaining route of the game. I lol’ed at the karaoke, Hinano sure loves her Mosaic.wav.

It would’ve been funny to see a j1mone route in it too. Hahahaha.

P.S. Forgot to add, but the School Days-style bad end in Hinano’s route was pretty awesome.

Finally, after much persuasion by Owen.S, I’ve made the jump and joined MyAnimeList. Now I can ~~stalk~~ read Owen’s miniblog in it.

Feel free to add me, my username’s kur0gan3. “Kurogane” got taken up by some UK-fag, while “Kurogane Shiroikaze” was too long T.T. Currently, still need to add OVA titles and movies to my anime list, probably will take quite a while to add the manga and other sections of the site.

By now, I hope that everyone has figured out that my earlier post was for April Fools, if the glaringly obvious timing of the post, along with the nice link at the bottom of it haven’t cued it in. BTW, yes, you can use TinyURL to forward to a Youtube video.

As for saturnine herse-… himself, sorry, his reaction has been mostly tsun-tsun, but it’s really to fit in her, I mean, his online persona. ~~She’s~~ He’s pretty dere-dere in real life, I assure you.

By the way, I’m starting a Suki Suki Satchan club, does anyone want to join? I also need someone to design a club badge for it, if anyone’s up for the task.

P.S. Oh man, I still need to write my true tears review. I’ve got a ton to say, but I keep feeling lazy to put them in black and white. Gotta lay off the games for a while, seriously.
