Shana II

Shit starts to hit the fan this episode. Margery attempts to pull Silver out from Yuuji gets interrupted by Konoe, and Hecate joins in the fray as well, after retrieving Konoe, her fake vessel. Johann makes an appearance and briefly reunites with Pheles, before disappearing again. At the end of the battle, Pheles sets off for another journey, with a purpose that she can’t tell the rest of the gang.

Wow. I was completely speechless throughout the whole episode and a good 5 minutes after it. It was just that awesome, especially the action scenes. This episode probably had more action than the past 14 episodes combined, not to mention the quality of the fights were so high as well. The production team can really be awesome when they want to be.

With the main plot fully set in to motion here, I sure hope they can sustain this pace for the rest of the series. That being said, Yuuji is being rather useless throughout all this, and I really can’t help but to think of him as the token damsel-of-distress here, lol. Roughly 60% of his lines in the past 3 episodes have consisted of him screaming.

Also, I want a side-story arc or OVA of Pheles and Wilhelmina’s past together. The yuri vibes from them both are just so irresistible, especially since it’s a one-sided love of Wilhelmina there it seems.

Shana II

Wow, is this really Shana II? This week’s episode was so awesome, it feels like a whole new series!

Pheles finally makes her appearance, and Yuuji is scared so much he raises a fuzetsu with his silver flames, triggering Margery to go berserk, even as Marchosias tries to stop her from doing so. Wilhelmina tries to restrain her, while Shana takes care of Pheles, but they’re both initially outclassed.

Satou, Tanaka and Yoshida are caught in the firefight, and Tanaka witnesses Margery killing Oga-chan. Finally, Shana and Wilhelmina succeed in subduing Margery and Pheles. Margery finally calms down after listening to Satou and Tanaka’s words, and she sulks off for the meantime.

Pheles, meanwhile, reveals that she had put Johann, whom Wilhelmina thought was dead, inside the Reiji Maigo when they were under attack in the past. Furthermore, Pheles tells Margery that the Reiji Maigo wasn’t made to have silver flames, thus someone must’ve modified the Reiji Maigo.

The calmed-down Margery participates in the full restoration of the carnage at school, with the usage of Yuuji’s powers and the festival resumes as usual, but a heavy cloud hangs over the air of the main characters.

Shana II

Again, I’ll say, this was one awesome episode of Shana, with action, drama and even yuri thrown together in the mix. I almost found it hard to believe that this is the crappy series I’ve been following last season, lol. At the end, it looks like the main arc will be starting soon, with LOL HECATE finally making her moves as well.

Hopefully, this momentum will be continued on next week’s episode.

Shana II

One whole episode on the school festival, and Wilhelmina decides to tell Margery about Yuji’s secret, only if she participates in the festival as well.

Predictably, Pheles appears at the end to mess things up, and I really hope the real story will kickstart now. It’s been really a lackluster sequel for Shana up till now.

BTW, awesome eyecatch. I’m surprised they asked Itou Noizi for her drawing in the eyecatch.

Shakugan no Shana II

As expected, Kantaro was introduced. Wasn’t that exciting of an episode though, mainly focused on the upcoming school festival on the first half, with Yoshida getting chosen to play Juliet beside Yuuji as Romeo. But it seems both Shana and Yoshida have matured a lot… since Shana didn’t feel any jealousy for that, while Yoshida didn’t get overtly excited about it either.

Kantaro came in to play on the second half, and basically he and Chigusa played Love Doctors to the both of them. Man, how can Yuuji be that dense?! Both Shana and Yoshida really have a long way ahead of them…

Shakugan no Shana II

End of Margery’s flashback mini-arc. In essence, poor Yuri got sacrificed to allow Margery and Sydonay stop their fight. Quite a weak episode actually, the fights weren’t that wow-inducing as well.

Anyways, it’s now discovered that Yuuji’s flame is silver in color. Expect a confrontation between him and Margery sometime soon, with Shana getting in the mix as well.

Next episode, school festival and Yuuji’s father’s first appearance. Yes, Chigusa still has a husband. This is going to be interesting.

P.S. I have no idea what caused the blog downtime earlier today.

Margery looks absolutely gorgeous in a dress. She should let her hair down more :).

P.S. Yay, a break from the Shakugan Days arc!

Warning: Eyecatch is not representative of episode content.

Entertaining, yes, but they screwed up Ike’s character and stripped him of his coolness.

Nothing else to say….

Shakugan no Shana Second

Shana-sensei!!!

Ahhh~~ finally some progress on the love triangle. Arigatou Margery-san! ARIGATOU!!!! One more damn episode of Shakugan Days would probably turn me off the series.

Seriously, I have never felt so much irritation and hatred towards a male protagonist of a harem except School Days. How incredibly dense can Yuji be?! Well, at the least the girls have realized their feelings now, so the impetus is on them now to be more proactive in their love. Thank you again, Margery-sama, for the much needed advice that the girls needed. At least now, that awkwardly frozen situation between Shana and Kazumi towards Sakai has been broken.

Next episode, looks like Meganeman Ike-kun is going to stir things up a little :). He really is the best male character, IMHO, in the series.
