Moyashimon ends

Moyashimon

Oikawa sure gets a lot of female love ;)

Epic kiss (again), young adult existential woes and make-up hugs marks the finale of Moyashimon.

Truly a fun ride from start to finish, Moyashimon felt like a bit of Genshiken + Hachikuro dumped together with a agricultural-themed twist, totally different from my initial expectations of it being an “educational” anime.

No doubt, the bacteria took a backseat very quickly in the show, as we got absorbed in to the relationships of the cast members, but that was what made me love the show a lot. Still, that’s not to say the anime wasn’t totally ignoring the original theme, as I now know which bacteria makes sake and bread. Sometimes I swear I see some A.Orzyae on my bread.

Moyashimon was also supported by a rather strong cast, with Sayaka Ohara making her presence well felt with her role as Hasegawa. Noto-sama did a very fun role as Aoi Mutou as well. The combo of Katsuyuki Konishi and Noriaki Sugiyama was always fun to watch as the “gokiburi” brothers too.

Definitely one of the gems of last year, I’m glad to have watched and finished Moyashimon. It really had some fun and informative moments, peppered with lots of nice drama as well too. Having those cute chibi bacteria was awesome as well, and I might help myself to some goods if I ever find any on sales. Here’s to hoping for more Moyashimon this year :).

Moyashimon

See you guys again, hopefully

In the meantime, would be awesome if someone scanlated the manga ;).

Gothloli (trap) kiss

Moyashimon

Ohmigawd.

It’s impressive how you can put bacteria, agriculture and goth loli trap in one show together perfectly. Moyashimon truly wins.

Sigh, only one more episode left.

A fishy escape

Moyashimon

That is one sure-fire way to escape from a dinner date there.

Epic Surströmming explosions, family obligations, uncertainty of the future and tsun-tsun;dere-dere + teenager Hasegawa make this a nice character development episode of Moyashimon.

Hell, they even threw in a trap as well.

The women of Moyashimon are so hawt

Moyashimon

I agree with moyism. Although the impact was less than I expected it to be, it still was an awesome episode.

The women of Moyashimon are really hawt. Sayaka Ohara Bondage Queen and Akemi Kanda x Noto Mamiko two-some makes this show a winner. I am so going to have wet dreams tonight.

Moyashimon rocks!

So I finally found the time to watch the first 6 episodes of Moyashimon that are subbed, and it certainly lives up to its hype amongst the bloggers who watch it. Never before have microbes been so cute and lovable.

Gotta love their depiction of A.Orzyae, and it does fit to it’s usefulness in human society. Yeast is definitely one of the most important discoveries of mankind, and without it, I doubt we’d all still be here.

That being said, the cast is awesome too, with Sayaka Ohara as Hasegawa Haruka, and god, I have missed her voice for a while. She definitely plays the Queen type extremely well XD.

My all-time favourite, Noto Mamiko-sama is also in the show as Aoi Mutou, and god damn, this has to be her most awesome role this year yet. It’s so totally different from the roles she usually does, and god damn, I love her when she’s at it.

Man, I can’t wait till the rest of the episodes are subbed, especially episode 8 where moyism even broke his no-anime posts rule on it. Subbers, please do you best!
