Wow Ren, you look kinda cool!

With a title like that, how can I not blog it?

So, continuing on from the last episode,it appears that some site on the internet has been randomly luring people in to contracts with youma, giving them special powers and setting them up on a widescale Tokyo FFA RPG battle. Wouldn’t it be awesome if we had this site in the real internets as well, just without that youma thing?

Ayano learns about the matter when she faces off a fujyoshi mahou shoujo, who’s being pursued by Catherine, now part of the police special task force as well. Meanwhile, based on a statement from a defeated “player” who tried to bully Ren and his friends, Ren manages to locate a hidden mansion set in between two skyscrapers, but gets captured by the Gamemaster, Vesuvius.

Pretty interesting arc, I’d say, and we seem to finally get a glimpse in to Kazuma’s past when he was in exile in Europe. The fujyoshi mahou shoujo was totally LOL, while Catherine’s mugshot on her police ID just so makes me LMAO. Ren was pretty cool today, facing off the bully, but he still lacks planning and experience… why does he get kidnapped so easily, sigh.

Kaze no Stigma 16: Epic fight is epic.

Epic fight is so totally epic.

Hahahahaha. Probably the funniest KnS episode to date. Kazuma and his father really are so bad at expressing their feelings. Funniest parts are really how Tachibana manages to stop them both effortlessly everytime, and the expressions of Ayano and Ren’s face when they find out that she’s accompanying Genma to the resort. Also, how Katherine somehow misuses “konnyoku” to irritate Ayano, especially with that emphasis on the middle part. Oh, not forgetting that over-enthusiastic father of Ayano. He’s really desperate isn’t he.

While I kinda expected a full fanservice episode since it’s an onsen episode, but having this kind of fun isn’t that bad too. I wonder how much collateral damage they’ve incurred this episode with all that destruction. Well… at least Ayano’s father will be covering it all.

Finally, Ayano wearing something other than her uniform!!!

Oh god Ayano is cute <333!!!

Yeah, more character development episode, which means more Ayano and Kazuma. This time, both of them go for a dinner date at a high class restaurant, which, inevitably, gets interrupted by a bunch of robbers and a rival enjutsushi from America, Catherine Macdougall, who wants to take the “Strongest Flame Users” and Enraiha away from the Kannagi clan. A huge fight ensues which of course leads to much fanservice from Ayano and another building destroyed.

Ahh… what can I say, this is a perfect episode of Kaze no Stigma, with Kazuma’s GARness (lol at him caring about the wine), Ayano’s tsundere-ness, fanservice and fights without regard for collateral damage. Ayano’s tsundere-ness is especially in full swing this episode too, with so many moments of her I almost overloaded. Ahh… why am I so weak?!! Best moment of this episode is probably where Kazuma licks wine off her face… dear god that was WIN.

BTW, Catherine’s evil laugh sounds so damn familiar…….

Kaze no Stigma 13: Let’s go to the amusement park!

That is one priceless expression.

After last week’s episode, ending the minor Tsuwabuki arc, it’s time to focus back on our protagonists and Ayano is pretty entertaining this episode again.

This episode, Ayano’s father sets up Kazuma and Ayano on a date in the guise of a job (busybody dad lol). So, erm, yeah, both of them “somewhat” have a date at the park, while bringing along Ren, who seems to be stuck in a love triangle with his 2 classmates. Anyways, nothing much happens apart from Ayano who busts a pervert and two flirts at the park, causing a small ruckus, and little romantic scene between Kazuma and Ayano while riding in a ferris wheel. Have to love the ending of the episode, with Ayano’s dad going… “Ahh, they might not be coming back tonight…” XD.

Next episode preview shows quite a bit of interesting things happening then, including Ayano in an evening dress and also a new blonde gaijin character on the loose.

BTW… did Gonzo like take note of the complains that Ayano never changes her clothes at all. Somehow I feel this shot was very much intended by them…

Kaze no Stigma 10 – Prelude to the Taisai

Man, this episode was rather cheesy since it’s a Ren episode. Kaze no Stigma’s awesomeness truly comes from Kazuma’s GARness heh.

Ren and Ayumi head for the sea where they have some cheesy romantic and “I WILL PROTECT YOU!” moments. Date is interrupted by Tsuwabuki Mayumi and her retainer Yuji (should’ve come earlier) and a minor showoff begins with Ren winning until Mayumi reveals Ayumi is her clone and she’s only got a 3 day lifespan. Ren is devastated emotionally and the Tsuwabuki’s leave. Kazuma senses the return of the treasure but decides to hold off until the next day so he can, well, grandly crash the Tsuwabuki’s Taisai ceremony. Poor Tiana wonders if she’ll actually survive.

Rather boring episode in my opinion and the art suffered greatly too, especially in the Ren vs Yuuji showoff. Yuji kinda like… um.. “expanded” in it lol. Well, as long as they don’t screw up Kazuma and Ayano, I guess it’s pretty much tolerable… although seriously, no one -EVER- changes clothes in this series.

Next will be show down time and there’ll be Ayano and Ren charging in the Tsuwabuki’s place while Kazuma… well, I’m so looking forward to see him crash the Taisai. His ebil laugh and antics is so very much over-the-top awesome.

Kaze no Stigma 09 – Kazuma and Tiana’s Big Adventure

Behold the great pixie of the wind!

Yay! More Tiana. That little pixie is so cute and funny. Kazuma had me in stitches this episode too, with his mistreatment of Tiana throughout the episode. Also, his evil laugh is seriously LOL. I’ve gotta say, Kaze no Stigma is pretty entertaining enough to forgive Gonzo for doing it on such a low budget.

Gist of the episode is Tiana hiring Kazuma to retrieve back the pixies’ treasure, stolen by the Tsuwabuki clan of earth-users. Meanwhile, Ren meets a mysterious girl at a playground and befriends her, but she suddenly gets attacked by a bunch of Tsuwabuki underlings and Ren protects her, making him an enemy of the Tsuwabuki clan. It seems that the girl is the pixies’ treasure that the Tsuwabuki clan stole and they need it to complete a certain ceremony.

Less Ayano this time, but Tiana’s antics more than makes up for it along with Kazuma’s evilness. He seems to be harbouring some sort of grudge against the Tsuwabuki clan as well, and he’s eager to, well, kick their butts hard, XD.

Auuu~~, that was really cute of her. Well if I got pranked that much I’d pretty much break down too. Plus Kazuma was there too, teasing her. Man, Kazuma really is teh GAR.

I wonder will the fairy appear again though? It feels as if she’ll be back again, judging from how long she appeared in this episode. And next episode, Kazuma and Ayano are.. going out on a dinner date? Oi, oi Gonzo, at least change her clothes for the date desu…
