Neko~~ Neko~~

A more serious episode this week, with the story going in to Makoto’s line now, however still, this does not deter Kyon’ichi from his delivering his usual laugh-out-loud quota though.

Kanon

Neko~~ neko~~ neko~~ neko~~

If anyone hasn’t noticed, KyoAni is still going on the one idiosyncratic audible each episode, and Nayuki is doing all the “n” words… with this episode being her “Neko~~ neko~~ neko~~ neko~~”, making me LMAO. Seriously, KyoAni needs to include all a clear sample of all this soundbites into the OST, or for even more commercial profit, a whole CD dedicated to this soundbites. I, for one, wouldn’t mind buying a CD full of variations of “Uguu~~”, “Auuu~~”, “Natto~~ natto~~” and “Yatta~~ yatta~~ yatta~ yatta~~”. If they release such CD, be assured I’ll have a lifetime supply of handphone ringtones that I’ll be wondering to myself why am I using them whenever a loud “Natto~~ natto~~” or “Uguu~~~” makes everyone look at my direction.

Kanon

AKIKO JAM!

Makoto-wise, this episode has a lot of her, and based on the preview, the next episode too. The day kinda starts out badly for her as she samples Akiko Jam(!) and …. …. ….

Kanon is… just too much…

Kanon

Ayu ayu~~

More of Kyon’ichi’s awesomeness as he deals with his daily life. Looks like his smoothness has been his natural skill from the flashback at the start. “Nanda? Ikinari ai no kokuhaku ka?” (What? A love confession suddenly?) … LOL. Pure awesomeness. Still I really like his caring side, especially after when Ayu said that her mom left her behind and he offers to meet her again. Further list of awesomeness after the jump:

Kanon is a…

Kanon 2006

Nayuki showcasing her techniques to Kyon’ichi.

.. showcase of Kyon’ichi’s awesomeness. I swear… this episode felt a lot more longer than the 24 minutes it’s supposed to be. It’s a good sign in any case, since it means the show was so damn good I totally forgot about time.

I must express my admiration to the script writers of Kanon, for being so damn good with the lines, especially Kyon’ichi’s ones. It’s really tailor-made for the awesomeness that is Sugita Tomokazu. For example…

Yuiichi: Yaa… I’m sorry. I was thinking too much that I didn’t notice that you were in the bath… since I’m already here, might as well join you in the bath as well…

Yuiichi: Approved!
Sayuri: For what?
Yuiichi: To become my bride!

Ayu: Akiko-san is good at cooking, isn’t she.
Yuiichi: You should try her special jam… you’ll experience a taste that’s not from this world.
Ayu: (giggles).. really?!

… heh XD. Just awesome.

His caring side is also shown in this episode too, when he catches Makoto trying to pull a prank on him again and sends her back to bed since she’s having a cold. Btw… Makoto’s sneezes are just..too… cute…

Speaking of which, doesn’t the plot feel like it’s advancing quite fast? Mai’s already giving out the cryptic hint to Kyon’ichi about Makoto needing him soon. And Ayu’s starting monologues are already getting more and more clearer. Makes me wonder if they’re really going for 26 episodes. Anyways…. 1 more week to wait for the next episode.. uguuu~~~~ ._.

Killing me softly with uguuu~~’s

Kanon 2006

Uguuuuuuu~~~

Kyon’ichi totally reduced me to a writhing mass, laughing like mad on the floor this episode. Sugita Tomokazu is made of so much win, I can’t put it in words.

Come to think of it, each episode of Kanon is going to corrupt my brain… not only “uguu~~” and “auu~~” are stuck in my head now, Makoto’s “Yatta yatta yattta yatta~~” chant is stuck too. I’m thinking of making them in to SMS tones ORZ.

Killer Jams

Kanon 2006

This _is_ jam, isnt it?

Poor… poor Kyon’ichi. _Hountou ni taihen desu…_

Y’know.. if Kanon continues to be as awesome as it is for now…. I might not be able to watch any more anime….

So, Kyon’ichi no Yuutsu.. I mean, Kanon continues on with more awesomeness, ranging from Akiko’s killer jams, very blatant references and lots and lots of _kuinige_-loli-torpedoing (uguuuuuuuuuu~~~~~~~~~).

I have to say, KyoAni *loves* their references. I spotted no less than 3 references to SuzuHaru, a minor Elfen Lied one and I’m preeeetty sure there some I did not catch. Seriously, Kyon’ichi saying “If there are introductions that are not normal, I’d like to see it them.”, ” I’m just an ordinary transfer student.” and his self-narration habit….. if it’s not a reference, then I don’t know what is. I’ll have to give top marks to Kyo Ani for actually timing them so nicely with the situation. Sugita Tomakazu is definitely at his best element here, his style of cynical sarcasm never ever fails to make me gay for him.

Then…. the girls provided a *lot* of laughs today, ranging from Nayuki’s inability to wake up in the morning even with a mountain of alarms (I had to restrain from making a GIF of Kyon’ichi shaking her awake, anyone felt that was strangely erotic?) to Ayu’s missed “torpedo” and bumping in to a tree to kitsune-ko’s “revenge”(Auuu~~~… is it me or is there too many onomatopoeias being used here?!) on Kyon’ichi. Not only that, Kaori and Porter-boy were freakingly funny as getting to see Ayako-sama playing the mischievious type is heaven-sent, /r/ short OVA on them. Hell.. even the next episode preview had me laughing out loud all the way to the end, with kitsune-ko the main cause. I find myself lucky that police aren’t knocking on my door now to arrest me for disturbing the peace.

So far so good, I’m looking extremely forward to next week. Kanon 2006 is definitely infinitely better than the first hotchpotch that was Kanon 2002. Again, if Kyo Ani continues to be this good… I might have to give up normal anime watching soon.

UGUUUUU~~~~~

Kanon

Awesome. Kyoto Animation doesn’t disappoint.

A very nice relaxing first episode for Kanon, since they have 24 episodes to work with, this means 23 more episodes of Uguu-ness for the win. Yui Horie is definitely much more awesome as Ayu this time, as she has had an extra 4 years of experience to call upon. The rest of the seiyuus are also as I remember them from last time.

Anyways, I must add, Akiko is awesome and is right now a hot contender for MILF of the year. Nayuki is… well, Nayuki, and Ayako Kawasumi x Seki Tomokazu pairing is the win. I also must say I think I’m turning bi too, man, Sugita Tomokazu is so awesome as Yuiichi, although I still can’t shake off his Kyon-kun image in my head. Watching Yuiichi somewhat feels like watching Kyon-kun getting his wish to get away from Haruhi and lands himself in a harem setting.

Anyways, trap season seems to be in full swing soon. I do hope I don’t descend more and more in to immorality.
