It started okay, and I was willing to accept the “RIBBONS CANNON” shit. Oh and the Gundam is “RIBBONS GUNDAM” too. And in fact, I can say the action scenes were quite orsm, what with Lyle going out in one-arm-one-legged Cherudim and still pwning that Innovado and Hallelujah finally getting a piece of the action.

But then, Ribbons running away with the stolen GN Drive was so hillarious, I couldn’t stop laughing, and then *poof* 0 Gundam magically appears in front of him.

ADDENDUM: I forgot to mention the scene where Tieria appears nekkid in front of Ribbons and nearly hugs him. OH GOD SO GAY.

And Setsuna… god… lol… EXIA COMES FROM NOWHERE and both of them each plug in a GN Drive in to the suits and starts battling. And Marina is like annoying us with her interjection and narration of how she hopes Setsuna will achieve his happiness, bla bla bla until they finish fighting.

After that, cop out ending with everyone coming in to terms with the new world. Lyle taking his Gundam Meister job seriously, Innovado clones all over the world (OMG ANEW IS IN THE UN!), and Setsuna magically surviving and travelling around the world as CB as usual.

ADDENDUM: I can’t believe I forgot to mention Patrick and Kati’s wedding. I would love to see an OVA or Omake of how he popped the question to her.

Tieria is now VEDA, but the last straw is at the end, with the sudden shot of Jupiter and “The Childhood of Humankind Ends” subtitle. I sure hope the announced Gundam 00 movie isn’t a “Gundam vs Aliens” story. On second thought, that might ACTUALLY be fucking win!

Well, in any case, I’m glad it’s over. For now. Phew!

P.S. Just post any spoiler from the manga/sidestories. I do not have time to go and read all of them. Besides, it’s mainly a Sunrise marketing ploy to sell more merchandise by enticing fans to pay for “exclusive” background information. I don’t care about Gundam 00 enough to go and read ‘em all.

P.P.S. Since they are hinting the movie might be set on Jupiter, will we see GAOGUNDAM? Or. Or. Setsuna going “FUUUSHION!” and employing ZA POWAA. Shit, my brain is going mad.

Coming to think of it, they didn’t properly explain about the “Innovation” thing and what Innovators truly are. My guess is that it probably involves unlocking dormant parts of the brain via GN Particle exposure. Does this mean that GN Particles are a health hazard?

I’m surprised there aren’t any deaths yet. The first season’s high point, was admittedly Lockon’s death. But I have to admit, seeing Lyle shoot Ali in cold blood was rather satisfying. It would’ve been pretty damn ignoble if he died getting shot in the back after showing compassion to an enemy that doesn’t deserve it.

Is it me or is everyone in the show being emo just because it’s cool to be emo? The sudden humility and anti-war sentiments of practically everyone in the cast in S2 is turning out to be quite a painful watch.

GG Setsuna.

Fuck you Sunrise, just… fuck you.

Exia faces off Gold, who even has Bits/Fangs (gaaaaaaaay). Lasse dies. Exia manages to pwn Gold, but JENG JENG JENG… THERE’S ANOTHER MOBILE SUIT INSIDE! It kinda looks like some Super Robot show’s robot, with the bat wings and shit (can’t remember which show it’s from, but I remember seeing it quite often).

Cut to Kyrios, Alle and Halle join forces and face off Peiris and Sergei, pwning the shit out of them, until Sergei stops his movements for a while, giving Peiris a chance to pwn him back. Alle/Halle discover that Peiris is someone they know, and Hallelujah takes the fall for Alle, and “dies”.

Cut back to Exia, Setsuna finally engages Trans-Am, pwning the shit out of Alenjandro. His victory is short-lived, as Graham comes in, KS’er Patrick-style, and proceeds to declare his BURNING PASSIONATE LOVE for Exia and Setsuna. Seriously. This ain’t a joke. To cut a long story short, both of them are evenly matched and finally, knock out each other, with Graham consumed by the “shine” and Setsuna left free floating in an open cockpit. He leaves a “will” of sorts to Marina, which is read as he continues freefalling.

Almost forgot about Tieria, but he manages to eject the GN Drive from Nadleeh, to be retrieved, before presumably “going to Lockon’s place”.

Anyways, cut to 4 years later. I’m stealing comments from some other people here, so if you feel offended, please tell me, kay.

• Saji is now working in space, still hung up on Louise.
• The world is now unified under the banner of the Earth Sphere Federation (ESF).

My bet’s on Setsuna getting reborn next season as Jesus F. Seiei, (tentative). Other wise, good job, Sunrise. You made WTF at the end of Geass, and you’re doing a fine job with this show too. Now to wait half a year for the next season. Thank god we have Geass R2 in the meantime.

Lockon T.T

Hah! I decided to watch raw this time. If people are gonna talk shit about about me spoiling, fine then, muahahaha!

In the aftermath of the battle last week, the Meisters and co. grieve for Lockon, eliciting the usual flashback scenes. Over at the UN side, they’ve suffered a number of losses themselves and Sergei plans to retreat, but the UN sends over some reinforcements to continue the battle.

Pimpin’ gold mobile armor, yo!

Once the reinforcement arrives, in the form of a huge pimpin’ gold colored mobile armor (henceforth named “Gold” for the time being), also solar reactor powered and piloted by the now somewhat batshit insane Alejandro Corner, the UN force attacks. Ptolemaios suffers an initial blow from Gold’s particle beam, and the Meisters hurriedly scramble out to defend, with Exia taking front point, heading straight for Gold.

Kyrios and Nadleeh take defensive positions around Ptolemaios, but they both suffer attacks from Gold and the numbers of the GN-X’es. Nadleeh loses an arm and its legs to concentrated fire, even using the Trans-Am system, but Tieria manages to take down Patrick before he’s taken down himself. Kyrios, under Hallelujah (the batshit insane one), fares better, taking down a number of GN-X’es, but it still loses and arm and a leg thanks to Gold’s particle beam.

Ptolemaios suffers major casualties on the other hand, taking repeated blasts from Gold, losing it’s medical room in the process (poor doctor whose name I still don’t know). Sumeragi and Ian take u defensive positions in Dynames’ Assualt Container, and Feldt is tricked in to joining them by Christina.

One stray GN-X manages to get close enough to Ptolemaios, and shoots the cockpit, before Sumeragi manages to take it down. Lichty and Christina are both killed in action, but not before a sappy scene revealing that Lichty is half-machine and Christina declares her love for him.

Bridge bunny #3 and #4 T.T

Back to Exia, Setsuna and Lasse’s tag team fails to punch a hole through Gold’s forcefield, so he decides to rush in directly using the Assault Container, but Gold uses built-in robotic arms to tear the thing apart, with Exia and Lasse (in the GN Arms) escaping in the nick of time. Angered, Exia rushes directly towards Gold.. with the objective of silencing it.

You can almost see the emo facial contortions….

Overall, another somewhat-epic episode of Gundam 00, with quite a number of (insubstantial) deaths. Patrick gets pwned finally, and I’m somewhat happy to be rid of him. The poor bridge bunnies deaths was already set in concrete once I saw Sumeragi leaving her command post, and thanks to Christina’s quick thinking, Feldt was saved as well.

Alejandro’s Gold mobile armor is just… hax, seriously. It came out of nowhere too. It’s probably another Celestial Being experimental mobile armor he stole, since Sumeragi notes that it’s solar reactor operated, and it sure has quite a heck of one, seven, in fact.

Tieria’s fate is still left hanging, and for a moment there, I actually thought he was gonna die. But seriously, he kinda sucks at using Nadleeh, probably too used to Virtue’s huge ass armor. Isn’t the suit supposed to be a high mobility type? Hallelujah is still pretty much safe, since he can still fight, albeit w/o an arm and a leg.

All in all, the major battle next week is going to be Exia vs Gold. Will the final death toll grow even more?

God damn, that was a better death than I expected. He actually left Dynames, and sniped Ali manually by connecting his sniper attachment to the GN Arm gun. Incidentally, he relinquished ownership of the Haro before he did that, so the “any character with a Haro doesn’t die” rule still holds true >:).

Well, with Dynames’s GN Drive still intact, it does mean that there’ll be either: (i). Lockon’s twin brother taking up his role; (ii) A new Meister next season; (iii) Lockon is somewhat saved and returns next season as the masked protagonist (lol). Let’s hope (iii) doesn’t happen again ^^;;.

Red Exia = 300% Speed.

Oh god, Exia gets powered up, hax way. Turns out that ‘ol Aeolia didn’t unlock the full capacity of the GN drives, and after Corner tries to kill him, he unleashes the power of the Trans-Am system, with some nice timing right in the middle of the fight between Setsuna and Ali al-Sarshes.

With the Trans-Am system, Setsuna’s Exia turns red and his speed gets boosted up 3 times! Which translates to easy pwnage of Ali, even with his hijacked Gundam Zwei. But. BUT. He has to let the fella get away. Like, d00d, just finish the damn job there, man!

Anyways, poor Thrones, and they’ve finally reached the end of their line, with Micheal and Johann killed in action. Nena somehow still survives, proving that any character that owns a Haro will never die in combat, and I actually don’t mind it. The bigger question now is what will she do? Will she join CB or will she go berserk and hunt down Ali solo?

Gandamoo finally shifts in to high gear this week.

Let’s see, Saji gets more heartbreak upcoming with Kinue finally killed by Ali al-Sarshes, or whatever his real name is. Well, she did get warned already.

The main plot development in this episode is the world finally uniting as one, in order to repel the Gundams, especially now that they’ve each been given a fair share of GN Drive-equipped mobile suits. The Trinity are the first to taste this new power, which kinda makes me pity them since I can foresee them dying by the end of the season.

What really surprised me this episode though is Wan Liu-Min’s more sinister side, as she reveals herself to the Trinity, offering them assistance under the guise of her own desire to see the world change. I foresee her becoming at least a semi-final boss, even if it sounds a bit unlikely.

The other major thing to happen is Alexandro Corner being led to the main body of Veda by his green-haired sidekick, whose name is revealed to be Gibbons Almark, who is a Veda interfacer like Tieria and Nena and he seems to have plans of his own as well. Not surprising if he turns out to be the final boss. Either Aeolia Schenberg devised a pretty elaborate scheme or CB’s true ideals are going to be hijacked by someone else, judging from the plot so far.

Oh and Graham Aker is GAR, seriously. He’s offered captain position of the new GN Drive mechas but declines it to fight them with a Flag because of his vow earlier. I really can’t help but respect that. On the hand… his AEU “supposedly” counterpart, Patrick remains a huge running (literally and figuratively) joke.
