Ah~ so this show finally ends. It’s a bit sad to see it go, but it has been an enjoyable show all round despite the many shortcomings that some people might find with it.

Thanks to his classmates and teacher, Shungo makes it to the theme park and manages to catch up with Mayu, wandering alone in the abandoned castle attraction. She reminisces back on the incident that cost Shungo his childhood memories, saying she did an awful thing and ruined his promise to Reika, when Dark Reika shows up, cleavage back to normal, I might add.

Notably flatter now.

Dark Reika proceeds to reveal the incident that happened. Not long after she returned back home from Shungo’s place, Mayu’s succubus nature awoke, weakening her and confining her to bed. Reika visits not long after, with tickets to Never Ever Land to go with the three of them. Seeing Mayu in bed, she tries to cancel but Mayu insists they go, but collapses soon after they leave.

Traumatic.

The both of them return home to find her unconscious, and while Reika calls an ambulance, Shungo himself tries to wake her up with a kiss, awakening Mayu’s succubus side, which kisses back, rather passionately I might add, right in front of Reika, who split her personalities in to two at the sight of that. Shungo also collapses after the kiss as well, and only the timely arrival of Ninomiya-neesan and Mikihiko manages to save them both, at the cost of the memories.

Back to the present, Reika asks if Shungo will choose to come to her side of save Mayu at the cost of his memories again. Shungo states that the real Reika would’ve known his choice from the start and proceeds to kiss Mayu. Dark Reika is pissed and orders Hosaka to prevent it at all costs.

Wow, Hosaka’s really h4x.

Hosaka proceeds to knock the living daylights out of Shungo, and man I’ll say he’s freaking h4x. He easily matches up to Shungo, who takes quite a number of hits, while Reika and Mayu witness the fight.

Even in myself…. bitching!

Deep inside Reika however, her original personality, wandering around, finds her crying child self in a corner, and she asks her what’s the problem. The loli Reika answers that she couldn’t obtain what she wanted. Reika launches in to a tirade of laments of how much she sacrificed for her love towards Shungo, and loli Reika answers back that despite all that, she really enjoyed herself. Reika reaches in to a realization that it’s her split personality that she was burdening with all her pain, and embracing her, the loli Reika disappears.

Back to the real world again (from flashback to Reika’s inner self… sigh), Shungo is losing and he is almost crushed by a falling chandelier, to be saved by Reika who proceeds to kiss him. Shungo realizes the real Reika is back. Reika proceeds to order Hosaka to stop but he refuses. Shungo steps back up to the challenge and the fight resumes.

Mayu!!! O_O

They both aim for the final blow… and Mayu steps between them, shielding Shungo, who manages to land his blow on Hosaka. Mayu collapses and falls unconscious to the shock of Reika and Shungo.

OH LAWD!

Shungo decides to kiss her to save her, but Reika objects and tries to stop him, but trips and kisses Mayu instead. Mayu wakes up abruptly to the kiss, rejuvenated and starts to argue with Reika ^^;;;;;. LOL. Nee-san and Mikihiko comment from afar, that Shungo’s life force was inadvertantly transferred to Mayu via Reika. In the meantime, Shungo’s classmates managed to power back up the amusement park, so the trio decides to go around and enjoy it.

It’s back to normal as usual.

The next day, everything is back to normal and life goes on as usual at the Ninomiya household. Back at school, it’s life goes on as usual, and it’s happily ever after. Medetashi, medetashi~

Rest in peace, Ninomiya-kun!

Hahaha, the ending was actually executed better than I thought, with some pretty dramatic moments there involving Hosaka’s fight with Ninomiya and Mayu shielding Shungo at the end there. Even more LOL was how they made Reika kiss Mayu to save her from the brink of death, and man… that was just LOL.

Well, what else can I say? My cup noodle analogy does really hold well for this show, and although it’s really cheaply done, there’s just this X-Factor to it that really makes you love it. Was it Mayu’s healthy chest? Reika’s over-the-top haughtiness? Ninomiya-neesan’s random sekuhara? I really can’t pinpoint it.

So yeah, while it might’ve not been the best anime of the season, it certainly has been an enjoyable one. Give it try when you’re really bored and want something easy to digest and tasty as well :).

Aliens and Bush in my Ninomiya-kun?!!

Heading to the climax now. Damn, this episode was flashy.

Having captured by the SWAT, Shungo is then taken out of custody by Hosaka, who explains it’s all the work of Reika, who’s finally become serious. Hosaka takes Shungo to his old neighbourhood, where he remembers back his childhood memories of meeting Reika and Mayu, while confronted with Dark Reika, who wants to make Shungo hers only.

Back then, Reika had just ran away from home, and she was cornered by a bunch of bullies led by Tasuku. Shungo, who’s passing by, stops them from further bullying Reika, by offering them his necklace, given to him by his parents. He brings her back home, and she helps him out in doing the household chores, reminiscing back on the fun times they had.

Mayu’s Justice Kick

Their first meeting with Mayu happens a while after, when Reika wanted to get back the necklace, but instead Shungo becomes her shield again. Mayu appears then, and her childhood self was a very tomboyish one, with a strong sense of justice, and together with Shungo, she beats away the bullies. Mayu joins them in living together as well and the three of them had a lot of fun, but it didn’t last long, as Reika had to return to her home, but before returning home, she and Shungo tie a promise.

Reika continues on, saying she put in a lot of effort for her promise, but it was all ruined by Mayu, and Shungo suddenly starts to get a headache, with flashbacks of the kiss between him and Mayu. He falls unconscious after that and starts to remember another scrap of memory from his childhood, where the three of them promise to go to a amusement park.

Dark Reika wins.

Did I mention how much Dark Reika wins?

Shungo wakes up, tied down in a room. Reika appears soon after, dressed extremely provocatively, and starts to well… “rape” Shungo. Her pleasure (and Shungo’s torture) is interrupted by an intruder and she leaves to deal with it. The Okushiro pair appear to save Shungo, and Irori explains that Tasuku wants to make up for the trouble he made. Reaching a safe spot, Tasuku asks if Shungo had kissed Mayu. Shungo says he doesn’t, and Tasuku explains that Mayu won’t last long, as she needs the life energy from men and she’s probably running out of it.

Yes, he procured a FREAKING Harrier jet.

Worried, Shungo heads to look for Mayu, but he is confronted by Dark Reika again, who offers to save Mayu’s life in exchange for Shungo to be hers forever. Shungo sees no choice, but Shinobu interrupts, confronting Reika. Taking the chance Shungo runs off, and he receives more help from his sister and Mikihiro in a Harrier. He continues on, leaving the rest to his sister and the gang. Running out on the main road, his teacher and friends appear right on time, and he requests them to drive him to the amusement park where they promised to meet.

Back to Reika, Shinobu has been knocked out, and Dark Reika also heads to the amusement park. A visibly strained and tired Mayu is also there as well.

So we get the full story of their childhood past, yet the most important part of all, Shungo’s kiss with Mayu is still not shown yet :P.

Well, this episode was freaking worthwhile for Dark Reika “raping” Shungo… tied bondage-style on the bed. Dear god that almost made me bleed. Also, apparently, when Reika goes in to Dark mode, her boobs double in size.

Also, wow at the freaking Harrier jet. A FREAKING HARRIER JET LULZ. Onee-san and Mikihiro are not to be played around with….

Ahh, another show ending next week as well. Let’s hope for a decent closure for Ninomiya-kun.

Really interesting episode of Ninomiya-kun this week.

The episode starts with a short recap of last week’s ending. Mayu recalls back a childhood memory, where she used to play with Shungo and Reika. She remembers kissing Shungo once, causing him to faint and the flashback ends. She looks on dumbfounded as Reika and her servants bring the weakened Shungo back to his room.

The next day, Shungo is harassed by Irori again, and Tasuku tries to take the chance to invite Mayu out for the free time. Mayu declines and grabs Shungo away from Irori, heads to the bushes and invites the peeping Reika to go have fun around Kyoto as well. The three of them walk around and enjoy Kyoto’s attractions, and while sitting down to eat some shaved ice, Reika wiping some stains off Mayu’s cheek triggers Shungo’s own flashbacks as well, and he suddenly remembers back the faces of the girls in the flashbacks he has been seeing all this while. He’s taken a bit aback by it, but recovers immediately.

After that, the trio head towards the Toei Uzumasa Eigamura, where they play dress-up of traditional Japanese clothes. Reika and Mayu dressing up as maiko’s were pretty funny, especially when Mayu accidentally does the spinning obi trick on Reika. Reika and Mayu change in other costumes, Reika in a miko outfit, while Mayu dresses up in a normal kimono. After they’re done, they’re attacked by a bunch of ninja’s, with Mayu narrowly avoiding the first attack thanks to her feeling faint.

*nosebleed*

Reika takes the initiative to run, taking along a surprised Shungo. Hosaka and Shinobu later come to help, and they’re chased all around the area. They reach a dead-end though, and the leader of the ninja group, Tasuku, appears. He declares he’s taking revenge on Shungo for 10 years ago, and Shungo suddenly recalls back another memory. He almost gets backstabbed but help arrives just in time.

Reika shows off some moves off her own

Shungo and Tasuku continue their showdown, with Reika trying to stop them, but Irori appears and defuses the situation by kissing Tasuku, shocking everyone on the scene. Irori states that her loved one all this while was Tasuku, (Hey wait, aren’t they siblings?!) and she asks him to hug her and they kiss again (oi, oi! aren’t they….?).

Anyways, with that issue settled, the school trip ends. Reika and her group are flying back home, when suddenly Dark Reika takes over and Hosaka pushes Shinobu off the helicopter when Shinobu notices it. As for Shungo, he wakes up to find Mayu missing, and he opens the newspaper to see his sister and Mayu’s brother in it. Before he has any chance to react, a SF force barges in and arrests him. The episode ends with a zoom-in of Mayu’s farewell note…

Dark Reika appears again!

Oh wow, what the hell happened in the second half? I have no idea at all. Weren’t Tasuku and Irori siblings? I was like.. “OMGWTF?!” when she kissed him right in front of everyone, and proceeded to confess her love for him. Then there was Dark Reika taking over with Hosaka showing a rather insidious side, and also Shungo getting arrested by the SF… which really made me go “Ehhh?!!!”. Well, can’t deny it’s making me wonder what’s going to happen next.

Aside from that, the first half finally had some real character development, with Mayu recalling back her childhood memories. Turns out that Mayu and Reika had both met Shungo when they were young. Probably the reason why Shungo’s memories of his childhood were blurred was due to Mayu’s kiss. It was also fun to see Mayu enjoying herself all around, and especially nice to see the service shots of them in different Japanese outfits as well.

Next week, Shungo gets captured by Reika. And yet again, I wrote too much for a show I watch just for the lulz.

More molesting!

It’s the school trip episode! Wai! Wai!

The students are on a school trip to Kyoto, and poor Shungo is stuck with keeping the order, without any help, as the guys go on a rampage around Kyoto. Meanwhile, Mayu is trying to work up her courage to invite Shungo to go out together on their free activity day. However, the two are approached by the Okushiro siblings respectively, Mayu with Tasuku, the younger brother, and Shungo with Irori, the elder sister, to go with them on the free activity day. They’re watched by Reika, who’s tagging along to enforce her “policies” of appropriate social contact.

Back at the inn, Mayu and Shungo bump in to each other but neither manage to say anything, when Shungo is kidnapped by his two guy friends. As with all the usual school trips, there’s the prerequisite onsen, and thus the guys try to peek in to the girls bath, but they’re seperated by a cliff, literally. Shungo tries to stop them from doing so, but halfway up the cliff, they’re attacked by radio-con helicopters and rockfalls, and the two guys take the fall, literally.

Shungo, with his 1337 skills, manages to hang on, but seeing that it’s too dangerous to climb down, he heads for the top, away from the main girls bath. Reaching the top, he gets an eyeful of naked Reika, and it turns out he climbed up to the other bath, where Reika and Shinobu are bathing. Taken by surprise, Shungo grip slips and he falls down as as well. Gotta love how they did a three-angle shot of that scene.

As night falls, it’s time for another prerequisite activity, sneaking in to the girl’s room for “night visits”. The guys attempts are however failed repeatedly by the teachers and it turns out that Reika’s secretly leaking out information on the guys movements. Shungo is relieved, but he receives a challenge from Tasuku, aiming for Mayu, and Shungo decides to stop it, with his two friends lending out a hand as well.

With their help, and Shungo’s 1337 skills he manages to get past the teachers, and finally confronts Tasuku, who sets a group of girls upon Shungo. The lights goes off all of a sudden, and taking advantage of the darkness, Shungo manages to slip past. Meanwhile, Mayu decides to visit Shungo and invite him out for tomorrow, while Reika and her retainers decide to check the circuit breaker of the inn.

Back to Shungo, he’s surprised from behind in the darkness, and it turns out to be Irori who proceeds to kiss him. Shungo feels weak, as if the life force is draining out of him, and he struggles against Irori’s embrace, hitting the breaker in the process. The lights turn on and Reika, Mayu and Tasuku are shocked to see Irori kissing Shungo. Irori lets Shungo go, saying “Gochisousama”, and Shungo hits the floor, weakened. Mayu, shocked, starts to shed tears…

Uh-oh

Oooh, serious episode this time. Looks like poor Shungo is surrounded by succubi. Other than that, it’s the usual cliched school trip episodes, with it’s fair share of ecchi, laughter and dorama. One thing I wonder though, who would win if Shungo were to go up against Sousuke Sagara defenses. That’ll be a fun sight to see, since they both truly share the same opinion about how to enjoy outdoor trips :P.

A friend of mine, geister, takes all the credits for doing the transliteration of the song. I only did some QC checks and arranged the lyrics according to the original sheet.

That being said, this song was surprisingly pretty long on the lyrics. I kinda tried to translate it as well, but there’s quite a number of words that are hard to translate properly to English, so I scrapped the idea in the end.

Is it me, or is Reika conspicuously flat in this cover?

キタ━━━━(ﾟ∀ﾟ)━━━━ !!!!!

Yay! It’s finally out! I’ve been waiting for it for a long time! You won’t believe how deep Yubikiri was stuck in my head for the past few weeks.

Well, sad to say that Yubikiri full version was rather disappointing to me, since I felt it lost the “oomph” and beat of the TV version in the conversion to the full 3 minutes version. Sometimes, I feel that they write the songs for the TV version first, then only haphazardly make the song longer for the single :(.

On the other hand, the full version Furefurepponpon still manages to keep the “oomph” and beat of the TV version throughout the song and I must say, I can’t stop looping the song for now. In fact, I’m on my 20th round as I’m writing this lol. Fure fure~ adorena-escalation!

Gotta say too, the jacket design is done in the old fashioned way too, so it really makes me nostalgic somewhat, of the era where “cheap fanservice” shows were the dominant genre. Not that I want that era back, but well, my moe sense was fashioned during those times, so it just brings me back :P.

Ninomiya-kun makes ramen. I never knew that making ramen was this hard.

The usual 30-sec starter continues from last episode’s Binyuu Sokushin Kyokai, who are now worshipping Reika. “SIEG HOUJOU!!!” LULZ. Poor Mayu is depressed and tries to compress her boobs using bandages (mmm). But too bad, her boobs are much too big in mass to hide already, XD.

Well, basically, Ninomiya-neesan is hungry and wants to eat ramen, and Shungo is tasked to make it. He’s stumped on what kind of ramen to make, as he thinks it’s a challenge from his sister. Mayu suggests the cup ramen she’s eating, courtesy of Houjou Ramen Inc., but Shungo thinks it won’t satisfy his sister. Mayu’s further suggestion to call a delivery is shot down the same way as well. (Looks like Mayu is more than ready enough for college life lulz.)

After ensuring the house is stocked with all the required ingredients, Shungo is about to start when Mayu tells him about a recipe site she finds online. Inspired, Shungo first starts off by making the ramen soup, with the help of Mayu. Halfway through though, Shungo starts doubting if his ramen will satisfy his sister, and Mayu once again points Shungo to a secret page on the recipe site with instructions on how to make the ultimate ramen, using some weirdly hard to obtain ingredients. Leaving Mayu in charge of stirring the soup while it’s being boiled, Shungo heads out to gather the said ingredients; first stop, obtaining the best wheat for the ramen dough.

Meanwhile, Mayu is getting tired of stirring the soup and combined with the heat of the kitchen, she starts to fluster. Calling for help, Hinako arrives to assist in the stirring of the soup, but she starts to get annoyed by the heat and tries to strip off. Mayu stops her, saying that she should keep some decency, and Hinako comes up with the bright idea of wearing a mizugi apron and also forces Mayu to wear it. Awesome. In the mean time, Shungo does battle with a GIANT pig to obtain its meat for the char siew.

It’s rape time!

Back home, the Iincho pays a visit to the Ninomiya manor, to give Shungo materials regarding the school trip, but finds it empty. She explores around and hears some noises from the kitchen, which turns out to be Hinako in the middle of striping Mayu. Iincho tries to excuse herself but…

Shungo, on the other hand, heads to the sea to acquire the last ingredient, fish meat for the naruto topping (not the ninja boy, you idiots!).

This was… awesome.

The final victim of the Mizugi Apron Ramen Soup Stirring team is Shinobu, just recently returned after accompanying Reika on a business trip. I don’t know what the hell the ramen soup contains, but the fumes are surely making the girls go really excited. I mean, REALLY excited, as they stir the ramen broth. I am so never going to look at ramen making the same way ever again, not especially after Mayu’s description of the ladle they used to stir the broth, while “touching” it.

Yatta!!!

Finally, Shungo returns home to find the four of them in a highly excited stage. Undeterred, Shungo finally starts to make the ramen and the other toppings and finishes the Ultimate Ramen. He and the girls rush to present it to his sister, only to find her eating Reika’s company newest product, Houjou Ramen. They get extremely pissed off at Reika and shout at her. Later Shungo and the rest eat the ramen themselves, depressed, while Reika does the same, only with her cup ramen… ORZ.

“Our new cup ramen now comes with Actimin C and etc, etc. for a more healthier cup ramen.”

Yay, another totally fun and brainless episode of Ninomiya-kun, so why did I manage to write like 700 words for it? Sigh. Anyways, this was a fun episode, all round, especially with the girls going all weird and high during the ramen broth stirring. I have a newfound respect for people who actually stir the ramen soup while it’s boiling. Shungo goes over-the-top as usual with his work, and I LOL’ed when he went travelling all around just to acquire the ingredients for the ramen, and meeting Mikihiko every damn time he goes somewhere. LOL at Reika coming in at the end to steal Shungo’s thunder, after all that effort.

That’s done for this episode, and the next one is going to be about the school trip. Expect the usual hijinks.

Nurse Mayu. Suffering never looked this cute.

I now fully understand why this show is named “Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun”. I retract my earlier statement somewhere that Ikuto from Nagasarete Airantou is the most abused male harem protagonist. His suffering hasn’t even come to 10% of Shungo’s.

Basically, Shungo hasn’t been feeling too well, since returning from the island, and subjected to more mistreatment by, er, basically everyone else. He finally conks out with a bad fever, and as luck would have it, the only person available to care for him is Mayu, which is not exactly the best person to be a nurse, even if she looks hot in the uniform. Much hijinks ensue, involving some reeeeeallly bad cooking (I can almost taste it across the screen), huge needles (oh my god) and a lot of physical contact which almost makes Shungo snap and attack Mayu, but he’s faints before being able to do anything more than just a hug (he sure needs one, though). He wakes up later feeling better, dressed in only boxers, sleeping next to Mayu, surrounded by everyone else, who are worried about him. I’ll leave the rest out.

Oh god. Oh. GOD.

Sigh, poor Shungo. He really needs to “rest in peace”. Poor fella doesn’t seem to get any breaks from being harassed one way or another. I wonder why does he bring out the “bullying” side of everyone.

This week’s episode 30sec starter was damn LOL though. “Binyuu Sokushin Kyokai” had me in stitches. Reika’s talent and power really, really makes me wonder why she hasn’t taken over the world yet for herself. Seriously.

Stuffed Mayu is cute~~. Must be hellish to have a guy who can cook real well.

The trio have been captured and bound in a room, where they discuss who is behind this, while Mayu loses her thoughts on Shungo and Reika kissing each other. Hosaka arrives to save them, and gets Reika Punched for not being able to find out what happened. They proceed to escape, but Mayu triggers a trap and gets shot at, which fortunately turns out to be a BB gun. Hosaka proceeds in front of them after that, and he gets shot as well, but this time, he collapses in a pool of blood.

The soldiers appear and surround them and Reika wants to take revenge but Shungo stops her and escapes. Unable to run far with both of them, he knocks Reika out and tells Mayu to take her and run to safety while he deals with the soldiers. Shungo successfully takes out the chasers, but a mysterious masked woman knocks him out. He is captured and brought in front of the leader, and gets tortured, reminiscing on the past where he defended a girl from being bullied.

Mayu, Saikyou Densetsu. The birth of a devil XD.

Meanwhile, Mayu and Reika seek refuge in a cafe cave and wonder what to do next. Mayu is determined to save Shungo and Reika hatches a plan. She sends Mayu out as a distraction, and Mayu manages to take out all the enemies by triggering all the traps they’ve set, while Reika goes ahead and saves Shungo, but the same masked woman knocks her out.

Shungo is angered and fights with the woman, successfully breaking her mask… only to reveal it’s his sister, pranking him. Shungo looks in disbelief and faints after that. A while later, Mayu wakes up the knocked out Reika and together they escape from the island with Shungo, still worn out. When they all return, Reika expresses her anger at being pranked like that, making it worse that her maid, Shinobu is actually the leader of it. Reika worries about what will happen next, but she still manages a smile.

Nee-san……

A nice end to the two-episode beach arc, and it really gave quite some development on to Reika’s character. Man, she’s really endearing :). A new character is also introduced, Shinobu, the token meido-bodyguard with a 100% tsun-tsun on the main character initially. Looks like Shungo isn’t gonna get any rest for a while. Best part of the episode has to be Mayu taking out the soldiers by setting off all the traps herself, not to mention with “The March of the Valkyries” being played in the background. God, I still LOL every time I watch that part. Seriously, Mayu’s dojikko and tennen is so high, it’s a lethal weapon. Good thinking by Reika there, hehehe.

Next episode, well, it’s probably gonna be more hijinks and a real introduction for Shinobu’s character.
