“Shit, I’m gonna need a whole ton of Viagra for that.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Dear god, Geass is slowly becoming a comedy. God damn it, Ninja Sayoko made me die laughing and I had to use a Phoenix Down to continue the episode past the 3rd minute. “Assuming three hours of sleep, I’ve made appointments with 108 girls. There’s a six month waiting list for dates as well.”… HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Poor, poor Lelouch. Sayoko sure has a “fine grasp” on his character, LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Okay, calming down now, there was also the “Cupid Party” event held by Millay, and it was rather LULZ too, especially when Anya came out WITH her Mordred to capture Lelouch. Dear god, these people don’t have anything called common sense. I’m starting to think that the show is slowly jumping the shark here, which is not really a good thing in the long run. But for now, the epic LULZ was kinda enjoyable, despite the sheer incongruity of the whole episode.

Well, on the serious side of things (a lame attempt to not waste this episode), we got glimpses of the Brittanian royalty, with some of the hitherto-unknown princes and princesses and the Knight of One introduced, over a talk of declaring war on the Chinese Federation as a payback for the humiliation Odysseus received.

Cornelia also makes her much awaited appearance as well, and she’s shown to be investigating the “Order” that researches Geass users, making her way to the site in China where Jeremiah was brought to by V.V., meeting up with the bald guy who keeps saying something about “committing the greatest crime against humanity”. Orange-kun himself has also gained quite the upgrade as well, as he now has the Geass Canceller ability.

In short, they’re continuing to make a mess of the overall plot, while resorting to cheap thrills and LULZ to keep the audience watching. Sure it does kinda work in the short run, but in the end, the story isn’t gonna make any real sense at all. It’s like the production team doesn’t have a real plan for the series now at all, which is really kinda sad.

Okay, so the fake Lelouch is Ninja Sayoko after all. Kinda shivered at seeing Lelouch act so girly when alone with Rollo. Also, surprise kiss on Shirley gg!

And this brings the end of the China arc for Geass R2. Of course our dear Zero is never without backup plans, and with some egging on of the Eunuchs, proclaiming they don’t care about the citizens and what not, Lelouch manages to inspire nationwide rebellions against them and takes the win, Xingke, Tianzi and China in one fell swoop, although poor Karen is now POW on Avalon, along with Guren. Sadly for poor Kallen, it looks like they’re not followers of the Geneva Convention.

With China in his hands, Lelouch decides to return to Area 11, no doubt worried about his aloof image falling in to further pieces, with Sayoko taking his place for the past week(?) or so. Unfortunately (or fortunately), he returns right in time to face a very, very confused Shirley, who has just gotten kissed by Sayoko-Lelouch and also the sudden transfer of Vino and Anya in to Ashford Academy. Cue the start of the school comedy plots.

Seriously, the writing for Geass is still crap, although the side effect is the show being unintentionally hilarious to the Zero-degree quite much makes up for things, I say.

He’s both at Ashford and in China?!!

This is bad, I gotta stop getting so surprised at every twist and turn they throw at us.

But, you gotta admit it… the ending of this episode definitely made me go “O.O EEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”. Sunrise had better have a good explanation of how Lelouch managed to “clone” himself.

Otherwise, rather normal, mecha fighting episode, with Xingke getting the upper hand fighting against Zero, but Lelouch seems to have a few more good tricks up his sleeve, so we’ll see what happens next week. Aside from that, nothing worth mentioning I guess, except for the fact that all the Knightmares that have “faces” look pretty damn ugly.

I wonder what will happen to poor Kallen though… I bet the doujin-ka already have pretty good ideas on that, XD.

The Black Knights take asylum in China, but then shit hits the fan when Tianzi is to be given away to Brittania as the bride of First Prince, Odysseus, as part of a political agreement between the two countries. Looks like Schneizel isn’t really a lolicon, even though he’s the one who arranged it.

Of course, this incenses Lelouch, so he gatecrashes the pre-wedding party and challenges Schneizel to a game of chess, but gets interrupted by “Atomic” Nina. The wedding proceeds next day, but this time, Xing-ke is the gatecrasher, trying to fulfill his promise with Tianzi from 6 years ago. Of course, ol’ Lelouch the lolicon takes the chance and kidnaps Tianzi in the chaos. Meanwhile, Orange-kun is back, and he’s with V.V., protecting another ruins in the Chinese Federation.

After a two-week hiatus, Zero is finally back, and the show is now slowly taking a more international stage. I’m starting to like Tianzi a bit, since from the flashback, it shows she does have a good heart in her, just that she’s being manipulated by those ball-less(figuratively and literally) officials around her. I “awww~~~”‘ed when she started waving her pinky in the air when Xing-ke gatecrashed her wedding as a sign of their promise from 6 years ago.

As for Zero, why does he always love to do all those flashy things, like challenging Schneizel to a chess battle, but not taking the final move when he’s given the chance. That fella’s stupid pride is really painful to see at times. Thankfully, he got bailed out in the end by Nina, who’s still a little bonked in the head it seems.

Oh right, Cecile seems to be also given the “fanservice” provider role. We got to see her in qipao this episode, and I lol’ed when she ate the decorative carrot sculptures XD. And speaking of which, they seem to be turning up the romantic tension between Lelouch and Kallen. They almost kissed each other again this week.

A million Zeros (and a dog).

All I can say is.. OMGWTFHAXROFLMAOAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHOMFGTHEDOGISINITTOO.

Man, now THIS is Code Geass. A million Zero’s. All of them. Getting a “Get out of Jail” card for free. Zero is both awesome in his audacity and ingenuity. Seeing the faces of the Brittanians, especially Ms. Tightwad, gave it extra enjoyment. Lelouch must’ve really enjoyed planning this.

Well, like a friend says, guess this marks the start of the ZERO WORLD TOUR, XD. First stop will be the Chinese Federation? The fact that there’s no preview for 09 is a bit vexing. I sure hope it’s not another recap episode shit. You know it’s fucking annoying, Sunrise, especially after only eight episodes in to the season.

Code Geass R2 07: Quick Impression.

  • Oh wow more epic SPEECH by Charles. ALL HAIL BRITTANIA!!!
  • Gotta love the Code Geass Biglobe adverts
  • Nunally makes her maiden speech as G’vner of Area 11. She declares the reenactment of the Japan Special Zone.
  • This deals a huge blow to Lelouch’s ego, he goes emo and decides to skip the upcoming school trip.
  • Emo Lulu pulls a Shinji and starts riding in the trains round-and-round. Rollo puts a stop to it by airing Nunally’s speech in the internal train TV’s. Wow, Lulu’s really weak against his sister.
  • The Black Knights are worried they can’t contact Zero. Kaguya appears and says she doesn’t mind if Zero’s cheating on him, because he’s a “hero”. XD.
  • Emo Lulu misuses his Geass on a group of guys harrasing a Refrain addict. He takes the Refrain syringe.
  • Kallen manages to find him at the construction side where he first became Zero. He almost injects the Refrain in, but Kallen stops him, telling him to play his role until the end.
  • Lulu orders her to “comfort” him and almost kisses her, but Kallen slaps him and runs off (pwned)
  • Rollo appears afterwards and tells him it’s alright if he stops being Zero. “Zutto.. nii-san to issho ni dakara.” So gaaaaaaay!
  • Lulu and Rollo return to the empty school. Fireworks suddenly shoot out and Lulu finds the Shirley and co. stayed behind for him. He’s touched by it and finally realizes what he should do.
  • The Black Knight’s cargo ship is discovered by a naval fleet, lead by Suzaku. They order it to stop, but it’s ignored. Suzaku orders the bombardment of the ship, while the Black Knights escape via sub.
  • Lelouch reappears in time to turn the tide of battle by shooting a methane hydrate tank located below the Brittanian naval fleet, which stops them dead in their tracks as the hydrate freezes the ocean. Suzaku manages to escape as he was in his Lancelot.
  • Lelouch dons his Zero outfit and heads for Suzaku, declaring that the Black Knights will join Nunnally’s Japan Special Zone, to Suzaku’s chagrin.

More detailed post when the subs appear.

Rollo gets mindfucked.

WTF!
WTF!
WHAT THE FUCK!

Oh god, Lulu, or should I say the Sunrise scriptwriters, are masters at such plot twistings. Hell, I felt a bit of pity for poor Rollo myself.
