Kuro’s Roundup 01

_|-|0””….. pretty much describes my life now, as everything’s in a god damn mess…….

As a result, I’m pretty much not in a blogging mood for now, so until I sort back everything in my life to normal, I don’t think I’ll be blogging as much as possible……

Anyways, I’m still on the season, just a bit screwed up and late. I’m still having backlogs for some shows, not having watched Karin 03, Shuffle 18 and Nanoha A’s 08. I’m going to watch them over the weekend, if possible. What I did watch for now was Bleach 59 and Shakugan no Shana 08.

Bleach 59 proceeded according to my earlier assumptions and ended off Ichigo vs Byakuya, while setting up the twist later on involving Hitsugaya. Believe me, the twist is sooo darn good, it was it that kept me in Bleach while I was almost going to give up on it, on account it was degenerating into a battle royale ^_-.

Shana 08 was just pure awesomeness….. as Omni stated, it had totally amazing production values. Shana has noticably powered up and her flame wings are my newest craze ^_^. Margery wasn’t neglected as well and her tears in the end of the episode was sooo perfect, I just found the energy to blog it out. Honestly speaking, it was that part that made me wanted to blog, albeit not in full, just… no energy. Well, next episode is a pool episode, and I was just so totally laughing at the preview :).

Still looking forward to Rozen Maiden ~träumend~ 06 today as well, Miss Yakult’s back :). Hopefully, I won’t degenerate to blogging in “Roundup” form for a long time, which I will if I don’t have time/mood, but my RL has been incompatitable with me recently. As much as I want to perform a clean reinstall of it, it’s perfectly impossible and I’m reduced to try and tweak it instead. If you can understand that, congratulate yourself, you’re a certified true computer geek :).

Bleach 57

Well, just blogging this for blogging’s sake. Nothing much I can cover that isn’t covered in Omni’s post.

I do have to say, that the expansion of the Soi Fong flashback (again, mid battle flashbacks , pfft) done quite a bit cheesily and stinks a bit too much of shoujo-ai. It’s also soooo predictive of a future filler arc with them. I don’t really like the way they retold the flashback, too long, too cheesy and too jarring. In the manga at least, it was much more informative of Soi Fong’s background and much more funnier. And damn, why does crying always equate to shouting?!

But oh well, Ichigo vs Byakuya was done nicely and also finally revealing Getsuga Tenshou, Ichigo’s shikai attack.Next up will be the climax of the fight, with Ichigo’s bankai coming out ^_^.

Additionally, things in the manga are really heating up now, with sooo many revelations and fighting going on… oooohhh… can’t wait for it.

Bleach 56

Following up last week’s episode, the continuation of the battles between :

Yamamoto Genryusai’s Ryujin Jyakka vs Ukitake’s Sougyo no Kotowari & Kyoraku’s Katen Kyokotsu

and the infamous catfight between:

Soi Fong’s Suzumebachi vs Yoruichi’s Shunkou.

Another superb episode from the crew of Studio Pierrot. Admittedly, I had been waiting eagerly the Soi Fong vs Yoruichi fight ever since I read it in the manga. The fight really pushes the definition of “catfight” to me. I’m seriously glad to see that the animation crew animated the fight nicely and vividly. I did have some bone of contention with the way they animated “Shunkou“, it does seem to be like the infamous Super Saiyan mode of Dragonball, only white coloured. But still, Yoruichi rocks !!

It’s a bit too bad we won’t get to see the Ryujin Jyakka fight. Understandably being one of the strongest people in Soul Society, Ryujin Jyakka has enormous power and most likely we’ll be seeing it in action in the “Arankal” arc now being done in the manga. On that note, I’d just read Chapter 201 and safe to say, I’ll be anxiously anticipating it in the anime. Orikasa Fumiko’s voice is *soooo* perfect for it.

Another funny thing to note is that, there was a little “debate” over at 4chan, with someone complaining that this episode is a filler. I laugh at the ignorance would like to say that some people need to get facts right before throwing accusations. This fight is *in* the manga and so far, there hasn’t been any actual fillers done by Studio Pierrot save for ONE episode. I’d like to give my fullest respects to Studio Pierrot and the whole Bleach anime crew for not (yet) succumbing to the powers of commercialization.

Understandably, the “Soul Society” arc is reaching it’s climax and will soon end. At that point, I would hope for the animation crew to take a break like the Tsubasa Chronicle crew and wait for the current arc to progress substantially before animating it and not do some half-assed fillers. Though there is a high chance it might just go ahead do the opposite :P.

Bleach 55

One word: SUGOI!!!!! Thank god Studio Pierrot retains the manga’s essence and spirit and adds on it more instead of ruining it (think Naruto and One Piece :( ). Although the rumours of a Bleach movie coming soon is making me a bit nervous. Hopefully the spirit of commercialization doesn’t affect Bleach T_T.

Definately the highlight of this episode was Yama-jii’s shikai release. You cannot deny that a lot of effort went into this part. A bit too long, yes, but still done with style and more dramatic than in the manga. Can’t wait also for the Yoruichi vs Soi Fong fight next episode. Shoujo-ai *hint hint* :)
