Hanekawa sure increased her flirting skills from the last season. I laughed like mad when she gave Araragi that “ticket”. Also his accidental exposure too. Man, he should be more careful when there’s guests over. Really liking Hanekawa’s hairstyle and glow this season.

Well, Hanekawa’s episode just got jacked by the most unexpected one of all. Now I can see why her seiyuu was replaced. Seriously, Maaya Sakamoto channelling Horo is too damn destructive. And SHAFT is really taking that bath exposition technique to the limit with this one. Pretty sure you’d be party vanned if you watched this in public.

Dear god, I don’t know if I am going to survive next week. I hope I can take it.

I’m glad I’m a guy or else I would have fallen for his charms this week. But holy shit, Araragi’s been really quite a gentleman with every girl, even Senjougahara.

Also lol, Senjougahara deferring to Hanekawa. I certainly didn’t expect that. Even Kanbaru’s jealous.

Speaking of Kanbaru, I totally laughed at her quip that Araragi will eventually marry Hanekawa instead of Senjougahara while Sengoku and her become his mistresses, then Araragi going “then my true love would be Mayoi?!” I had a conversation very damn similar along the lines of that before watching the episode on IRC. You damned necrololicon, Araragi.

Seriously? Araragi? Just because she’s a ghost that doesn’t mean you can do all that to her… well, not that anyone’s gonna be able to catch him and prove it in court. Damn, he might be on to something there.

After over 2 years of waiting, Nisemonogatari is finally in our hands. Bakemonogatari, without a doubt, is the most successful anime adaptation by SHAFT so far and immediately elevated NisiOisin to a household name (amongst otakus) and many fans have been waiting patiently for the follow-up.

So after all that wait, I’m glad to see SHAFT’s unique touch with the show hasn’t been changed. Nisemonogatari isn’t going to win any technical awards for animation, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t win the best dialogues award. After all, we have stuff like this

As they say, you don’t love someone enough until you’re willing to eat their shit!

Of course, while the usual favourites are still around, the selling point of Nisemonogatari is definitely Arararagi’s sisters, Tsukihi and Karen, of both which we only got short glimpses in the first season. Unfortunately, Karen’s absent for the premiere but Tsukihi’s around. Just that, well…

Tsukihi would be so cute if she wasn’t so bitchy…

I sure feel Araragi’s pain in dealing with them now… just Tsukihi alone is already quite a handful, and then Karen’s probably able to beat your sorry ass up as well? Hurrrrrr

And with that, Koyomi finally comes in own right as a harem master.

Yes, epically late post is epically late. It’s been way more than a year since Bakemonogatari ended and due to :reasons: I never did manage to post about the last episode, so I’m taking the chance now. Well, back then, the webcast quality was pretty shite and I guess it was better to have enjoyed it in full 1080p glory, even though the subs were pretty shite. Those who have the ones will know :P

I have to admit, Koyomi’s denseness in NOT realizing Hanekawa’s feelings and awkwardly denying them after being told straight up by Black Hanekawa did make me want to punch him a little for being such an idiot, but then again, Hanekawa’s also a little at fault with that so it’s probably best solved between them later on. I’ve been told crazy shit goes on in Nekomonogatari White, which I assume will conclude off Hanekawa’s character story.

Remember, I am always watching.

Shinobu appearing out from Koyomi’s shadow was probably the most kickass thing in this episode though, and wow, if that’s just a small percentage of her powers, I really wonder how crazy she can be when she’s in full vampire mode. Argh, can’t wait for the Kizumonogatari movie. Hoping on SHAFT to make it as epic as it looks in the small previews we’ve been getting in the series early on.

That all said and done, having Oshino leave at the end of this series really makes it feel like a proper ending for the series for now. As the mentor character, Meme had a great influence and presence despite his one-dimensional role as “Doraemon” and having him there would probably hamper Koyomi’s development in the future. That way he said good bye in Tsubasa Cat Part 4 was pretty classy as well.

Okay, that’s enough waffling for now. It’s a bit sad that Kizumonogatari will be a film instead of an anime though. On the flipside, it’ll probably have better standards of production but on the downside, the wait for the Blu-Rays to be out is going to be a pretty long one :(

There’s actually a running joke about how Hanekawa’s OP sequence is the worst amongst all the girls because of “Hachikuji-P’s” influence. Since I haven’t heard Mayoi Snail #2 and #3, I’ll assume it’s a continuation from there. Of course, Hachikuji denies it totally here. The other running joke in Tsubasa Cat #1 and #2 was to get Hanekawa to say her ” I don’t know everything” line and Hanekawa finally goes “Yeah, I know everything” to Hachikuji instead of refusing to say the line but trying to imply it in another way.

Probably the funniest parts of the commentary was when Hanekawa appears on-screen in her pajamas and Hachikuji immediately accuses her of showing off her “assets” to Araragi intentionally, saying that’s probably why she’s chosen for this episode rather than Senjougahara. Of course, Hanekawa denies it vehemently, but it’s pretty useless considering her on-screen actions ahaha. The best one was how Hachikuji notices she’s not wearing a bra and then hugs on to Araragi on his bicycle and Hanekawa immediately tries to pin the blame on Araragi but Hachikuji refutes that, even though she’s not really on Araragi’s side.

Apparently the final episode of Tsubasa Cat will finally have a male guest! That “guy”! Or so we thought until Mayoi declares it’s “Senjougahara’s father” ヽ( >∀<)ﾉ AHAHA AHAHA AHAHAHAHA. Poor Hanekawa is going to have a taste of poor Araragi’s feelings from episode 12. Oh well, we’ll see when the Blu-Ray comes out. Would be hillarious if it comes true.

Oh right, before I forget, the surprising fact of this episode was Hanekawa admitting she’s not going to university and instead she’s planning on going somewhere. I think.

Ah.. another two more episodes. I hope SHAFT manages to not miss their schedule this time.

Tsubasa Cat #2 is done by Senjougahara and Hanekawa, as expected. Obviously she can’t have other people “intruding” in to her private times. The funniest part was when Hanekawa asked about bringing Mr. Senjougahara along, to which Hitagi answers that it’s obviously the only way she could get there and all since it’s far away, etc. etc. but admits it was a form of harassment in the end. Her deadpan voice when her onscreen self said to Araragi she wanted to be kissed was terribly funny too.

Man, I sure wish some group would be crazy enough to do sub the commentaries as well. At this point, those commentaries are pretty much an integral part of the series too! I still need to listen to the Mayoi Snail and Suruga Monkey ones though…..
