The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc 07

The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc

Really have to tip my hat off to Keima for his sheer prowess at dealing with the girls this episode. Get sick? No worries, let’s leverage that to get a girl to visit me! Oh snap, it’s not just one, but TWO of them coming now nvm let’s make the most out of it! In fact, he may have been a bit too good at it because…

Did she just— man, that surprise and blush on Keima’s face really says it all. But unfortunately that badly timed confession leads to…

The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc

Yeah, there goes Ayumi’s love points… all converted to friendship ones now. How will you recapture here, Keima?

You know, it’s rare to have bad adaptations working out well amongst fans of the original work, but TWGOK is seriously carrying this terrible manglobe production for me through the sheer strength of its content. TWGOK was never really a good manga in most objective measurements, but holy hell it really has something special to it and as cheap-looking this anime is, it hasn’t managed to ruin that special thing. Yet.

Bonus shot:

Ayumi sure gets wet easily!

Ayumi covered in sweat, HNGGGGGGG. I appreciate Chihiro for providing the extra tension, but I sure hope Ayumi doesn’t get shafted for her.

Sorry, but Manglobe can never redeem itself for sloppy animation after skipping so much.

And this still is only half an adaptation. They skipped out lots of plot points, like how Keima takes a Vintage devil hostage and goes on the offensive alongside Tsukiyo’s 2nd capture.

It feels very weird to comment about possible spoilers, but Ayumi’s ending reminds me of Kirino with the tsundere attitude and random wedding dress ending. I really how Chihiro gets a proper ending when the current arc is over. It actually seemed like Chihiro was the only one Keima really cares about, at least until he discovers how much games Yui would offer to buy for him.

    @Giorno Giovanna

I really hope Chihiro gets some extra closure in the end as well, she got hit extra hard by the coming events and they’re still resonating big time with Keima in the current chapters as well.

It’s sad that the one girl that genuinely falls in love with Keima for who he is, not for one of his capture personae, is the one that gets let down the hardest.

Seriously I don’t understand what you mean by cheap-looking o_O What’s wrong with the production quality it’s the same as ever.

I /think/ I can do without the insert songs, terrible sense of humor and dramatic padding from earlier seasons. I honestly believe killing a comedy by drawing things out is as much of a sin as skipping content and reducing the budget, but at least here I can just put the missing material behind and enjoy what they did get right.

i think even if they was put out the vitage girl which keima took hostage it still good adaption

I don’t read the manga and I’m really enjoying this 3rd series.
IMO, the only problem with the previous 2 was the terrible pacing of their last conquests (the library girl and the teacher), but everything else was top notch.
