Holy shit cheat mode engaged.
Oh man, she’s going at the Nephilim real hard.
Ouch…. Bikki you’re real scary here.
And she goes in for the finish right there.
Oh wow, it actually restored her hand too. Man, her berserker mode is kinda OP.
Hibiki going into berserker mode was within expectations but damn, they really went all out with it. Also, they even made it restore her arm just like that… crazy. Upsides of having a relic body fusion I suppose. Oh well, there goes the crazy “rocket punch” prosthetic arm angle w
Also, the Hibiki trauma flashbacks from episode 1 finally got explained….
…. and it’s apparently from the earlier concert attack 2 years ago that started it all? And she’s being blamed for…. surviving the attack? What the hell is this shit? Symphogear can be pretty out of it sometimes… I understand survivor guilt, but survivor blaming is ridiculous.
Fight on, Hibiki! You can’t lose to those idiots.
Well, she heals fast at least! But in actuality….
Oh boy, it’s actually pretty dang risky for her too. Hm… I still get the feeling she’ll just punch her way through that in the end!
Meanwhile, Dr. Ver is really getting out of it. Well… he did see his advantage got overturned easily and bloodily by Bikki’s crazy berserker mode.
Ahahaha, anime girl has very little screentime but she really makes the most of it!
Holy shit… did she just punch the Noise barehanded?!!
Bikki’s mad there man, real mad. You don’t ever want to make her mad, man.
So I guess the lesson of this episode, if they won’t let you befriend them when you stretch your hand to them…. you just gotta befriend them even harder.
But in all seriousness, G has got some good momentum going for it but it’s slowing down. I’m slightly ambivalent with the whole “Bikkie’s gonna die” angle they introduced this week, since they pulled that “she’s gonna die” bullshit last season but turned out to be a red herring in the end. And I was really hoping for something concrete with that “trauma” Bikkie hinted on back in episode 1… but they kinda messed that up big time, me thinks. It’s not a big issue, though… just makes no sense because this wasn’t even mentioned once in season 1.
Still, I guess they did a good job building the urgency of the overarching plot. After all the Moon’s still (possibly) falling down to Earth. Section 2 better run those orbital calculations again! And we still got Maria, Kirika and Shirabe to join the sleepovers!
OP also got a minor upgrade this week, just look at those cut-ins for the girls now.
Damn, that’s pretty badass stuff.
