HAHAHAH they really used the microphones to fight. I was only half-joking last week!
Ahhh goddamned high heels breaking at the shittiest timings.
Oh shi– wait.
Nominating Ogawa-san as the MVP of the episode.
Fuck yeah, cool new attack!
Uh oh, reinforcements arrived.
But that goes both ways!
Showdown time yeaaaaaaaahhh!
She mad, mang. Real mad.
Heh, Black Gungnir gets cut-ins…
New combination move! With their swan songs to boot!
Oh man, even the terminology in Symphogear’s getting closer and closer to Ar Tonelico www
That’s right, those girls are crazy!
Totally not obvious he’s the bad guy at all!
I was very worried Symphogear’s production quality was going to hell this episode, but I’m extremely glad my fears didn’t come true. This episode was as amazing as it could be, seriously what’s with this quality upgrade?!
Something I’m quite liking is the pacing of the episode. The show didn’t just jump in straight to the battle parts, but took its time with some exposition and character introduction yet still keeping up the tension of the situation, punctuated with some slightly comedic moments that didn’t ruin it. Kirika and Shirabe are pretty cute btw.
Of course, when the action kicked in, it was amazing with a continuous flow through it (since most of the exposition’s done!), as our heroines squared off with the new antagonists. The cinematography was seriously great through it. And they really made songs for just about everyone, how many character song CD’s are they going to sell this time wwww
Also, I can’t help but to be reminded of Nanoha A’s a lot, watching G’s setup so far. The rival group, angst, collection of some “thing”, the main heroine trying to reason it out with the other side but rebuffed hard, an “ally” that’s manipulating stuff in the background… yeah. I can only hope that this comparison holds true up to the end. A’s remains the best out of the three Nanoha TVA for me (and many others), so I’m really keeping my hopes up for G!
