Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san

The pinnacle of mermaid humor… merlions!

Meanwhile….

Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san

Levia-tan is hardcore. A lava bath holy shit.

Muromi-san was a pretty okay 15-min comedy, although I can’t say the humor was a good hit for many. It definitely tries to stand out a little, and I’m constantly giggling whenever they make references to the mermaids screwing up our evolutionary process due to silly grudges and what not. Too bad we never got to see more of Levia-tan in action too, she’s easily the best mermaid.

Definitely no Seto no Hanayome, but watch it for the quirky humor, lively animation and decent seiyuus.

Levia-san is so great that if we’d had more of her, she would have completely stolen the show, so the amount of her screentime makes sense. She’s no mermaid, btw.
And looking at her and Mikasa’s abs, there might be a new trend for badass female characters.
