“Fly me closer! I want to hit it with my Hammer/Blade/Collider!”
Yes, that’s fucking magical girls riding on fucking fighter jets. Pretty much the best the episode offers.
The first episode with Red out of the way turns out to be a mixed bag. First we get the revelation that the Vivid System ONLY allows for Red to DOCKINGU (wtf gramps?) and then the only choice to win against the Alone is to use
N^2 prohibited “SGE” bombs to carpet bomb Tokyo. Guess that checks off one more major super robot genre trope. Oh and no Vivid Pink either. ( ￣ ▽ ￣ )ノ Ｄｏｈｏｈｏｈｏｈｏ～
Funnily the best bits I liked from this was the reason why the Isshiki’s are poor, and how Shijou-san blew up in the face of the bunch of silly politicians trying to rely on a bunch of little girls to save them. That was definitely quite badass of her.
Meanwhile, while this was supposed to be Blue’s time to shine turned out pretty much showcasing how much she depends on Red… and in the end, Red needed to show up in spirit form to make sure that Blue actually doesn’t waste their last-ditch plan to break the Alone. Sorry Blue, you’re still useless.
And being Black continues to be suffering…
