Oh you see her alright. You just aren’t seeing her in the right way.
Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t ever seem to like Sorata. He does has some admirable traits but goddamnit, the way he’s so oblivious and slow about things irks me so hard. After being together with Mashiro for all this time, doesn’t he even try to notice her changes? To me, it still looks like he’s just seeing her as an objet d’art that he “owns” rather than love. It’s like he doesn’t even seem to see her as a proper girl till now.
And only NOW he manages to notice Nanami’s feelings for him, and that’s right after the poor girl literally shouted her feelings to him, twice. Even if both times were “acting”… well at least he finally notices it. Too bad I can’t even say the same for Mashiro’s feelings.
Still, the more heartbreaking part of this episode was Ryuunosuke’s outright rejection to seeing Rita, after the poor girl took a one day trip all the way to Japan just to see him for that one day…
In the end, even if it was Ryuunosuke, that was quite a bit dickish of him. Luckily enough, it seems that he himself realizes it, or so I hope. Rita might definitely be a bit forceful, but you can’t deny her passion!
As for Misaki and Jin… well, it’s still pretty much at a standstill as of this episode. But it seems their parts are coming up next week, so we’ll see soon enough.
Also, Miyahara was quite the bro this week, I actually think I like him more than Sorata!
