Sasami-san@Ganbaranai 03

Wait… what?! She’s the real Amaterasu?! Also, dat SHAFT Head Tilt™

So, continuing on from the exposition of episode 2, Sasami-san and co fully explain the crazy mythology backgrounds of their characters. Some of the parts were pretty damn dark, especially about the Tsukuyomi family “traditions”, but reveal that Tsurugi was actually Amaterasu and her “sisters” are parts of her pretty much took the cake. Especially when Tsurugi, Kagami and Tama go ahead to trash the Tsukuyomi Shrine. Those action scenes, I don’t even

The best part was how the ED finally got completed… in the time-honoured SHAFT tradition of completing it only on the third episode. Also, it’s the only place where you can hear the Almighty Goddess Amaterasu sing, so don’t miss it!

BTW, I am very okay with Chiwa Saito Amaterasu. Very okay with it.

The episode made me go WTF…. In a good way

As for the battle scene… Was I watching Homura battling Walpurgis Nacht? Or was it Strike Witches? Or was it Girls und Panzers und Helikopters?

Of course the daughter of Shana is the Goddess. Her father is a Crimson Lord, her mother is the Vessel of a Crimson Lord…

So SHAFT-like. I like how they explained some things or else I would just be confused even though I read some of the mythology stuff.
