Da Capo III 03

Da Capo III

Hurr…. look who’s back!

So yeah, this week’s episode is pretty much the reintroduction of Sakura and Utamaru to the show and basically nothing happened. Ruru-nee only appeared for ONE scene goddamnit. ONE. SCENE.

Don’t waste your time with this episode, just warning you guys beforehand. And Sakura’s not Yukarin anymore either. So there goes the “I’ll watch it for Yukarin!” reason too.

Didn’t she merge with the tree in D.C. II or something? Oh well not like I’m watching this anyway.

This Sakura is probably a fake that came out from the tree. Well… not like I’ll watch this episode anyway. Call me when there’s more Ruru-nee.

“I’ll watch it for Yukarin!” is the job of OreShura this time.

Da Capo traditionally had big-name seiyuu for the anime counterparts instead of the PC game originals. Not this time, and that’s really half of my motivation to watch it gone.

But I play the game currently and this is potentially good in the story department. I’ll just say that everything about Da Capo might be explained this time, spanning even DC1-2 timelines.

Houkuto Minami does a better Sakura than Yukarin. Yeah I said it, come at me!!

I never could understand why the DC anime and game had such different seiyuu casts. I can understand some of them not being “talented” enough to reprise their roles, but for DCII, almost everyone was retained except for Yume and Otome. Hocchan might have been a hard one to pass on, but Takagaki Ayahi is in no way the superior Otome.

Yeah I don’t actually mind. Played DC and DC 2 VN’s so I can live with it. This Sakura though seems like 9-10 years old though.
