Oh dear… can you hear that sound of someone’s heart cracking?
This part really had me breaking out for the tissues. Really, Sorata’s been such a big asshole to her last week and for most of this week’s episode I truly wanted to give him a big slug right in the face…
… although I guess he does redeems himself a little bit here. Really, what a roundabout way these two are taking with each other! Meanwhile….
Ahhhh already saw this coming. The only consolation so far is that both of them haven’t really confessed, but it’s pretty much clutching at straws Nanamin!
On the other main front…
I really loved this explanation Misaki gives about the “Lap of Terror” as I think it’s pretty spot on with what happens when people fall in love and try to move past the friend-zone. N-N-Not that I’m saying this from experience or anything…!
Unfortunately, even with her attempts to “jump in to outer space”, Jin’s pride and determination still proves to be a hard nut to crack. I do understand Jin’s feelings here though, pride is really a terrible force to deal with. Funnily enough, it’s mainly exacerbated by Misaki herself! But it does truly show how much he really loves and cares for her that he’s willing to give up short-term happiness for the long-term.
Really, this week’s episode of Sakurasou hit hard with both the scenes involving Mashiro x Sorata and Misaki x Jin. Especially with how the episode was building up with Mashiro’s baumkuchen offerings to Sorata… god that was so darned cute. Even worse was Sorata still acting so pig-headed and it made me want to punch him so much…. well, not so much now I guess.
The new ED is fitting in quite well with the tone and developments of the second cour so far, and I found myself not missing Days of Dash so much already. Can’t wait for the single to be out.
Next week’s preview looks set to be a more lighter episode though. Heh, returning home for the New Year with three girls in tow huh….
Finally, can we have a moment of silence for Nanamin?
She sure was cute this episode, but too bad, looks like it’s not enough after all…
