Maoyuu Maou Yuusha 02

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha

They sure upped Demon King’s cuteness levels for the anime!

Still, the character designs really isn’t working out for me… I just find them too crude. Got too spoiled by Akira Ishida’s version www

Chiwa Saito did a pretty good job voicing Head Maid, but the anime visuals are truly lacking of her oppresive presence in the manga. It’s gonna take a while to get used to this….

    I still don’t get why people are all up in arms about the manga design. I read a couple ch and idk, anime is just fine.

    Know what the manga doesnt have? Ami Koshimizu so the anime wins already.

    Well, for me the Ishida Akira versions is canonical version of Maoyuu for me so the anime art just really feels off. It’s not that they’re ugly, it’s just that they are lacking in the style and intricacy of that version’s art. Anime art somewhat looks plasticky.

    Of course, the anime seiyuus are great, but I’ll confess, Ami Koshimizu’s performance as the Demon Queen hasn’t really lived up to my expectations fully yet.

    Eh, just enjoy it for what it does well. Life is a lot more fun that way.

    @Himajin Breaker

    I have to agree more, it’s just the designs!

    This is the one show where I feel its a bit acceptable that they are changing characters up, given that the manga isn’t THE canon. There really isnt a set canon, its just that Akira Ishida’s version is the most translated/most popular version of the story.

    I noticed a lot of changes already, such as lone winter prince having short hair and looking more “professional” I guess you could say. Its possible his personality changes up quite a bit as well.

    The character arts are quite simplistic and its like little thought was put into it, the plus side is in its own way makes you concentrate more on the story, i don’t know anything about the anime so i keep wondering in what way it will progress, its actually a fun experience for me. :)
