Minami-ke Tadaima 01

Minami-ke Tadaima

Second season of Minami-ke finally starts after five years! Oh how I’ve missed that “kono bakayarooo!” of yours, Chiaki.

Minami-ke Tadaima

Ahh… dat Haruka-neesama… delicious.

Now, this is more like the Minami-ke I loved and remember. Production quality definitely got bumped up and the show hasn’t forgotten all the good ol’ jokes from the previous show too.

No sign of Hosaka-senpai or Makoto yet, but I’m sure they’ll be back soon enough. Wonder if Sensei and Ninomiya-kun will also be back as well, that is just too legendary to forget w.

We’re bound for Hosaka-senpai fanservice to balance out the Haruka-neesama fanservice from this episode.

    I’m excited.

This is almost a blasphemy to not start the new season without Hosaka-senpai :(

Considering he was just ‘that kind of creepy sweety guy in Episode 4 that no one could remember his name” Hosaka has a massive following. Full on delusion mode in Episode 8 made a lot of fans…but that full on laugher on the mountain top on New Year’s Eve clentched his awesomeness for some reason. (Ono really doesn’t like Hosaka, but he plays him so well).

Add the Hosaka bits for the other seasons (the “GOD” belt, crushing heavy cans with his bare hands, and the Curry Song) and we have the guy that could have won SaiGAR 08 in spite of everything.

But he is tempered by the other Minami-ke fandom…(the Broken) I mean the fans of Mako-chan.

That and the various sects for the various Minami sisters. Chiaki-hime, Haruka-neesama (is Amazing), and Kana (Master of the Broken and Provider of the Mako-chan).

Anyone else thinks the art has gotten worse since its original run 5 years ago?

    AiM:
It’s not on par with the first, but better than the previous two, the second season being the worst in terms of animation and pretty much everything else.

To me it felt like a slow re-introduction of the cast, meaning the rest will be given their time to get introduced proper.

Wonderful, wonderful. First another season of Hidamari Sketch (Autumn 2012) and now Minami-ke to boot. I’m in heaven. Nice shot of haruka-neesama, Kuro!

And one another thing — yeah, kono bakayarou, I cannot get enough of that too. Chihara Minori is just too awesome voicing Chiaki. It’s really great to hear this voice again!
