Sword Art Online

This scene… finally… finally! (´;ω;`)ウッ…

Sword Art Online

Unfortunately…. there’s still the asshole Sugou to deal with.

Sword Art Online

Why yes, I actually did think you set this up all for shits and giggles.

Awwwww yeah Kirito! *halo3theme.mp3*

Sword Art Online

Someone’s jimmies has definitely been rustled seriously.

Sword Art Online

“You…you hit me! N-not even my own father hit me!”

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online

Seriously those expressions make me laugh so hard.

Sword Art Online
Oooh that’s gotta hurt. A lot. And he had it coming.

Sword Art Online

D’awwwww Asuna ( ;∀;)

Sword Art Online

Get out Kayaba.

Sword Art Online

Heh, guess they can’t leave this out after all. But seriously, the egg shape is so cliched w

Asuna’s finally rescued \o/. Yes, this episode was pretty goddamn full of NTR, Koyasu ham and deus ex machinas but in the end I still enjoyed it. Never been happy to have no taste as an anime fan huehuehuehue.

Seriously though, looking at the screencaps, A-1 sure had their priorities spelled out for this episode. Asuna’s “suffering” was quite vividly done, as with Sugou’s goddamn bastard expressions. Episode wouldn’t have been half as entertaining without it, although towards the end, I was laughing so bad at Sugou’s suffering faces back. SERVES THAT BASTARD RIGHT. Of course, can’t forgot this would not even have been possible without the hammy goodness that is Koyasu www

The deus ex machina of Kayaba still feels too tacked on, but yeah that leads in to the future continuity so they can’t really erase him out. I personally have an ambivalent stand about it, since he’s supposed to be dead and all, but then again he’s really a villain that’s defined purely as “hax” all the way, so… yeah! In any case, that’s pretty much the last of him appearing in person.

This isn’t the final episode yet as there’s still the first, proper IRL meeting for our two lovebirds in the offing. And of course one more final smackdown for Sugou as well!

Awww, I wish you included the last scene with Kirito and Yui, where she said “I love you, papa.”

Yui is such a sweet girl.

    Regarding adaptations…

“If you wanted to make enemies, try to change something.”

Also, I leave this for pure laughs.

This was the most satisfying episode ever. Seriously, props to Takehito Koyasu for making this satisfaction possible. He moulded Sugou into the biggest bastard ever.

Sugou makes a great NTR doujin generator. lol

I felt pretty satisfied when Kirito was destroying Sugou.

  7. Himajin Breaker Said,

    December 16, 2012 @ 2:07 pm

I felt that Kirito was kinda inefficient there. Here’s a guy who’s been NTRing him for quite a while, even doing it right in front of Kirito, and instead of killing him off in rage quickly, or torturing him by cutting bits of him off slowly, he goes and starts showing off while his wife is dangling there topless.

C’mon, get your priorities straight. Get her off the chains, generate clothes and a weapon for her, then start dicking around with Sugou as a tag-team.

Needs more tentacle raep scene. All the SAO H-doujinshis out there will have a field day. Wait. they have already.

The scene with Sugou’s comeuppance was all good fun. But that moment in the first minute-and-a-half was just facepalm-worthy.

Kirito: Sugou didn’t include the fairy city! He will pay!
Me: Oh my GOD, Kirito, why do you care!? And is now really the time!?

  10. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    December 16, 2012 @ 4:24 pm

That’s the cute thing about Kirito. He’s got this diehard gamers’ soul at his heart, so when he realized the biggest and single most important quest of the entire MMO that it was selling was a sham…. he just couldn’t resist getting pissed.

Just imagine in WoW, they sell a new expansion pack and then have you go through some long ass quest chain to finally reach the last boss and after you defeat him by combining the efforts of the two largest guilds of the server comprising over a hundred people…. it drops nothing. Not even a single “Congratulations, you have won” message. You’d be mad too.

    @ Xak
I used to watch Shugo Chara, but when I was watching, I was being so shady about it when my family was walking past, they thought I was watching porn.
The reality that porn would have been easier to explain than Shugo Chara made me stop watching.

Chunibyou made me cry almost as much as Clannad.
    Little Busters made me vomit.
I’m still watching it only to see how this bus wreck of an anime turns out, but wow, they really put no effort into it at all.

  22. Hajiko Said,

    December 17, 2012 @ 12:04 am

Wow, they didn’t even tried to make it bit believable/acceptable. Kayaba’s deus ex machina was horrible already in LN and there it’s even worse.
I really wonder what makes Kawahara Reki’s stories so enjoyable because his plot device usage is sometimes/often really terrible/bellow average.

    @Kurogane Shiroikaze

… Good point, actually. I did play WoW for about 3.5 years, so I can totally get the feeling. But see, I wasn’t playing WoW for the prospect of some hot ass in the real world.

    Quite the opposite, in fact.

  28. Kitan Said,

This author can’t write a good villain to save his life.

One has no motivation, even in the novel his motivation is weak and doesn’t worth killing so many people anyway, inconsistency for the win.

One is just ‘oh-so-annoying-so-we-can-laugh-when-he-gets-his-ass-handed’, might as well put a dragon in his place and it’ll make no difference, in fact, it’s better than seeing his cliche motivation and stereotypical villain personality, Asuna degrades from a side kick to a freaking price, a trophy for Kirito.

Might as well actually use a medieval fantasy setting instead of freaking video games, it makes everything so inconsistent and stupid.
