Kintama 04 [END] /Mantama 01

Good bye Kin-san, you were a real jerk.

Hello… Mantama?

So, looks like Kintama just ended with a big twist that the hero was actually the Big Bad after all and was slowly taking over the town in the place of his “nemesis” in some misguided attempt to become the main character of the anime. Wow, how meta can you get.

Luckily, crisis was averted after Gin-san and his comrades sacrificed themselves to stop Kin-san’s final trump card, so now we have a totally new show, Mantama taking its place. At least the heroine this time is pretty cute and also voiced by Asumi Kana \o/

Haven’t seen the episode yet but, are you sure Mantama isn’t voiced by Fukuyama Jun? XD

Asumi Kana is pretty difficult to misidentify. For trap voices, though, Sakaguchi Daisuke managed to pull of a seriously convincing female voice in the Mantama part. I mean, one look at the character and you’ll know it’s him doing the voice, but I had to rewind and play his bit again a few times to convince myself that Sakaguchi was voicing her.

The opening theme for Mantama was every KyoAni anime since 2007 plus several magical girls.

That crouched position and sitting up in the opening reminded me of Tora Dora.
Eyepatch girl in the K-ON band definitely a Chu2 reference. The drummer looks like that girl in Black Rock Shooter, you know…. the one voiceacted by Asumi Kana as well!?
The girl on bass is definitely a Mio clone. Then you have Saki with the mahjong scene.
That mountain fishing scene is definitely a reference to this upcoming anime. Mainly cus Asumi Kana does the voice acting for the main character in that alongside Hikasa Yoko.
Then you have the Inazuma Soccer scene after IdolM@ster? Followed by Pretty Cure parody.

The girls of the band are the 4 joi heroes. The eyepatch girl is Takasugi, the drummer is Sakamoto, Tokiko is Gintoki and the girl on bass is Katsura, obviously is their moefied version.
