Sword Art Online 12

Sword Art Online

Yui is such a good girl ;_;

Sword Art Online

Heh, Yulier is voiced by Ryoko Shirashi. Kind of fitting for some reason *coughmarriagecough*.

Sword Art Online

Awww Yui throwing a tantrum.

Sword Art Online

Aww… what a brave little girl *sniff*

Sword Art Online

Yui-chan maji tenshi ;_;

Sword Art Online

Oh shit, surprise boss sechz.

Sword Art Online

Whoa, Yui!!!

Sword Art Online

Yui’s Little Miss Badass time!

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online

Yeap, that’s Asuna and Kirito’s daughter for sure. CUTE AND BADASS.

Sword Art Online

And the secret is out. Yui’s an AI.

Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online

Oh no… no…. no no no noooooo.

Sword Art Online

Can’t see… through… all these tears….

Sword Art Online

Of course, Kirito isn’t going to let anyone take someone so dear to him away so easily. Even if the other party is a god-like entity. TRY TO DELETE MY DAUGHTER? WELL FUCK YOU SYSTEM ADMIN PROGRAM, NOBODY DOES THAT SHIT ON MY WATCH. And he made it out with the source code, fuck yeah.

So this ends Yui’s arc for now…. and what a sad end it was. But it’s okay, this separation is temporary. We will see her again in the real world/ALO!

So…. next week, will it be the end of SAO arc, or will it extend a little further? Judging from the episode title, I’m guessing they are going to wrap it up next week and then it’s fairy time! Of course we’ll be seeing Yui again too, which is half the reason why I’m excited for it.

Sword Art Online

Nice Yui end card this week.

    Two more episodes left.

Next one is fishing and the last boss.

Then the next one is the GM.

Oh Yui. Why did you have to be so adorable.
I started teared up so many times during the episode that I may as well have just I cried.
A-1 did so well on these past two episodes for Yui.

I can’t wait until ALO starts.

    @Kurogane Shiroikaze
Oh right, about the end of Aincraid, I’m not sure, but I Think the Aincraid arc will be extended to 14 episodes.
I looked on the episode list on Wikipedia, and the 14th episode is titled,
    “The End of the World”.

To be honest, I don’t like how the light novel author wrote the portion where Kirito used his awesome hacking skills to navigate the GM console and disconnect Yui’s AI and package it as an item. Seems so illogical.

I felt that it instead should have been something like since Yui’s used her GM powers that she is detected by Cardinal and rejected from the SAO system but in a last moment, she loads herself into Kirito’s Nervgear storage. I mean she is a Mental Health AI with administrative access to players devices, so she should have Administrative privileges to store herself onto a player’s nervgear. So this way she still exists but cannot touch SAO since shes been purged/disabled from the SAO system. Thus giving Kirito an additional motivation to clearing the game to reunite with Yui.
When going to Alfheim, they could say that the creator’s of Alfheim reenabled the feature and converted this corresponding AI function into a pixie that Cardinal in SAO disabled making the reference back.

Man, the endcard this week is brilliant.

Kind of confused how we’ll see Yui in the real world? Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

Agreed, I knew that Kayaba is behind all this on creating Yui!

Still, I wonder if they would wrap up SAO in Ep. 13 or Ep. 14…

its not all that weird u know, as Kirito is actually a genius in programming and has been stuck with computer since he was a child(just like his mother)

even in the latter volume he’s the one that design the device to allow Yui to see the outside world

Still, it feels pretty ridiculous even if you are a skilled programmer. I mean, I’m a programmer in real life and that just feels so… Hollywood style.

But oh well, it is Yui after all so, I’m fine with it!

i guess that explains the 4 panel for zettai karen children. Thnx Kuro!

any how i’m looking forward to the upbeat and cheery Yui in ALO. Hopefully won’t be on the level of ‘death by moe’.

    A good Episode…
and yeah, probably the SAO arc will end at Ep. 13 to 14 cause there are no more sidestories to fill after YUI arc.

    Waiting for Alfheim Arc..:D

Wouldn’t it be great is Yui gave the weapon she used to kill the monster to Kirito? Hehe But I guess Kirito won’t be able to use it since it was a two-handed sword and he’s a dual-type

  12. Himajin Breaker Said,

    September 23, 2012 @ 10:11 pm

@ Jeff: Yui had GM powers at that time, so she could probably just make a pair of 1-handers with the same power levels just for him. Or, hell, just hack the shit outta his character data so he gets 9999 in every stat and clobber people with a pair of trees. Also make him an immortal object. He’d clear the game in an hour after he’s done with his honeymoon.

That said, (and I’m guessing wildly here, since I’ve yet to read the novels) the big fire sword she was using was more likely a manifestation of her hax GM powers rather than a real weapon. If she had instead been smashing some fella trying to PK Kirito or Asuna, the weapon might have came out as a Mjolnir-looking hammer with a big BAN stamped on it.

  13. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    September 23, 2012 @ 11:45 pm

Uh yeah, Yui’s “sword” thing is kinda GM only. She can’t really give it to Kirito since Cardinal will just detect and delete the item.

Plus, Kirito’s pretty dang strong enough WITHOUT those GM hax powers. Trust me on that.

    No mention of Shana even?

The dungeon this episode reminded me of RO’s Culvert area… except replace the bugs with frogs…

P.S. Is the artist for this week’s End Card the same one as Accel World LN’s (HiMA)? Yui there somehow reminds me of a kiddie Sky Raker…

I’ve had this thought on my mind for a while now. Would Gun Gale Online be better suited as an OVA or as part of the main storyline?

  17. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    September 24, 2012 @ 6:11 pm

Actually yeah that could be HiMA. I saw the name in the credits this week and was wondering why it was there. But now that you’ve mentioned it… I guess that’s the end card artist credit.

As for GGO…. well it is technically the main story, but since it’s pretty short and shitty, might be better as a 4-5 parter OVA.

Giving powers to Kirito or Asuna would just make the Cardinal System hunt them for deletion, since the system is supposed watch the game and to make everything fair.

Also, about Kirito knowing how to handle the admin console, it is entirely possible. As a programmer and beta tester for months, he and the internet community would already find out what is the API to the game, at the very least by reverse engineering the client seeking the Strings for system calls to the server.

Yes it is a lot of Hollywooding from his part, but if there is a command and the system permits it, it’s doable.
