Dear god, Kimi. Do your wonders never cease? Please be so. Man, in any other anime, this would have been the moment of the episode, but this being Horizon… it just never stops! Like Tenzou…

Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon II

Yeah! That’s what we’ve been waiting for, Tenzou!

Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon II

And the Mary Rescue squad heads off.

As for the Armada battle…

Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon II

Yup, this cap says it all. Musashi is seriously huge though, once you put it in perspective with other normal-sized ships.

Also, had a good laugh when Masazumi calls Elizabeth to tell her that they’re gonna rescue Mary AND still win the Armada battle for them. Elizabeth’s “bakamonoooooooo” wwwww

Not forgetting as well the entire class replying affirmative when Horizon asks if someone would be sad if she had died… ahh, why is this show so brilliant despite how crazy it gets?

This episode is so full of Win!
mercenaries declaring a war on their own employers, while fighting their “contract” enemies menawhile…
    talk about diplomatic confusion…
Felipe just raised his own death flag proudly: “Hoist the colors!” Poor Juana…
Go Tenzo! Save Mary! And Go Malga, get your self-respect back!
Ah btw, Kimi, did anyone mention you have a little rough kissing technique?

This episode’s quota of Kimi-nee scenes made me long for another fight involving her. I know that she would never make a conventional fighter, what with her contracting only with the goddess of dancing and eroticism, yet she still managed to use what she had to totally pawn Futayo in season 1. Although that slap she gave Malga seems to indicate that she isn’t just a physically weak erotic dancer, or was that strength exaggerated to increase the slapstick value? I’m guessing that’s something we won’t find out this season.

Masazumi was also awesome this episode mostly for how nonchalantly she calls Elizabeth to notify her that Musashi is declaring war on England to save Mary, and still fight the Tres Espana armada for England. Too bad she’s stuck with Cristopher Hatton again as her opponent, with no Asama to come to the rescue. I wonder if she’ll use her maus then, and what sort of abilities it has?

For the next episode, I would say that the Neito vs Walshingham and Neshinbara vs Shakespeare are my grudge match of choice that I’m most looking forward to. Neito was mostly second-best to Walshingham during their first encounter until she just managed to force a draw, while Neshinbara was comprehensively beaten by Shakespeare either in fighting or writing ability, so I’m very much anticipating to see how they’re aiming for victory.

Never would’ve thought I’d enjoy this show so much, this season pretty much justifies slogging through the early mind-boggling concepts and episodes it introduced.

I’ll never get tired of seeing Musashi drift though the skies.

    Juana ;_;

I love how there are no true antagonists and you can care about the characters from all the sides.
