Accel World 18

Accel World

WELCOME TO THE YURI-RATED WORLD.

Accel World

Note: This is Accel World.

Accel World

Note: They are on a school trip, not a personal trip or a honeymoon.

Accel World

Note: Kuroyukihime is such a dear~

Accel World

Note: This IS Accel World.

Accel World

Note: No, seriously. This IS Accel World.

Oh wow, I didn’t even need yuri goggles for this episode or more like… WHY DID I NEED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. THIS IS FUCKING ACCEL WORLD BUT WHY IS KUROYUKIHIME EXPANDING HER HAREM OH GOD WHY.

*ahem*

So yeah, we take a break from the rage-inducing arc of Dust Taker to follow the yuri harem adventures of Kuroyukihime in Okinawa. “School trip” yeah right. Consequently, this becomes the best episode of Accel World in five weeks. Which is obvious, really. Thankfully, this extends to next week too so we’ll have another rage-free week to enjoy \o/

It’s sad how one of the best episodes of Accel World in a while is the one without the main character in it…

What do you mean? This episode featured the main character very prominently! We all know Kuroyukihime is the true star of Accel World! A great episode XD. So much fun all around. That friend of Hime’s is totally a Burst Linker. That story about a fairy tale gave it away so bad.

    >implying Kuroyukihime is not the main character of Accel World.

Initially I was slightly annoyed at being left hanging from the cliffhanger from the last episode but… this is like, 500% better. I’d be fine with leaving that cliffhanger forever.

Haven’t seen this episode yet, but from what I see it’s 100% original content. The novels were too busy dealing with the threat of Noumi to pay attention to KYH’s harem. But the reactions don’t seem that bad xD.

It’s not original content, but a sidestory from volume 10. And boy, am I glad that we got a vacation from the stupidity and putzing around of Haru, Taku and Chiyu. KYH, how we missed you!

Actually, I found it enjoyable not only for the eye candy, but also for the inner monologues (which can be considered the only reliable sources of firsthand info on KYH). She is clearly aware of how much AW’s pull warps her, and unlike the idiot trio, she immediately noticed when she stepped on the Megumi landmine and very believably and skillfully defused it.

I’m not in a hurry to get back ^_^ … and would take more KYH sidestories over the main arc without having to ponder about it.

Hey, people behind Accel World. This is called “good”. Please do more of this.

Also, it kills me how shows like this seem effortlessly able to write good, convincing and emotional relationships between girls, but can’t do it with the male lead. WHY!? If you aren’t going to actually deliver on the yuri, why taunt us like this?

Well, at least next week will have another Kuroyukihime episode. Hurray!

And I still feel that Dusk Taker needs to be killed… permanently!

    @ Benigmatica

Worry not sir, Dusk Taker’s days will be over very soon.
