Accel World 14

Accel World

….. you damned pork!

Accel World

…… wut?!! FFFFFFFFFFFFUUU—

Accel World

AND YOU HAVE THE GALLS TO ASK WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?! YOU GODDAMNED LUCKY PORK YOU!!!!

Yeah okay, that’s just about my Pork Rage quota filled up this week. Goddamn it Haruyuki, why are you such a… lucky little… bas.. *inhales deeply* ..guy. And for that matter, those Neuro Linkers are too damned easy to hack in! I mean, if it’s something that directly affects my brain, you would think the makers would at least put in proper security protocols and programs inside. Oh well, I guess it’s like people opening email attachment files sent from their friends carelessly.

The only thing stopping me from rage quitting this show is essentially Noumi is a giant fucking asshole. This snide little fucker…

Accel World

And fucking Porkyuki being fucking useless too.

Accel World

Granted yes, the odds were totally against him, but he took so damn long to actually snap. I would’ve snapped already when he pulled that shit on Chiyu. Instead he actually let the little snide fuck talk so much shit to her before even attempting to stop him.

Please at least beat the fuck out of him next week, Silver Crow. Though.. knowing how these things usually go, he’s gonna get his ass kicked AGAIN anyways.

The OP and ED also finally changed this week to ALTIMA and Misawa Sachika’s offerings. ALTIMA’s 「Burst My Gravity」is pretty decent, but doesn’t feel as good as their Shana Final stuff yet. Lots and lots of spoilerrific stuff in the OP too, as expected from Sunrise. On the other hand the ED is… Kuroyukihime (Avatar) snatching Haruyuki (Avatar) from Kuroyukihime (Normal) and sexing Haruyuki (Avatar) up before Kuroyukihime (Normal) comes up and beats Kuroyukihime (Avatar) up with her own umbrella and reclaiming Haruyuki (Avatar) from her. Holy shit, what in fucking fuck was that? I have… I just… what?!

Accel World might be total nerd fulfillment to some, but this Noumi guy sure is a horrifying deconstruction of what would *really* happen if kids got a hold of this power in reality. You can bet that his mental age is much older than his physical, like Niko.

Incidentally, that one moment at the beginning of the episode where Chiyu draws a decent distinction between Taku and Noumi actually reminded me that they were a couple… And then Pork gets served with melons…

I share your hatred of the indecisive little pig. Here’s hoping for a nice boat ending for Haru.

Haruyuki is not worthy of polishing Kirito’s boots. If you’ve read Versus, I’m sure you know what I mean.

Interestingly, I’ve just read finish a certain SAO vol and from there I get the strangest of suspicious that the Author has a thing for NTR scenes…

We need to call Ash Roller for next week!

And yes, Noumi needs to be punk’d hard! Although he might end up as Taku’s rival!

If anyone actually cared about people walking into opposite gender’s shower rooms, there would be a surveillance camera near the entrance. Not to mention that monitoring every student’s movements is trivial with all their neuro-linker tech. As well as tracking down the owner of any gadget, such as camera, in their big brother world.
What is really sad, though, is that it’s inevitable that the spherical character is going to eventually triumph over oh-so-evil antagonist.

I really hate weak main leads like haru, reminds of the main lead in rebirth the lunatic taker, they just get in they way in all honesty. I mean Simon was weak initially but you had Kamina to develop him here it’s just like weh.

I don’t read the LN but does anyone know if haruyuki get’s a character rehaul or is he like this forever?

Not sure but I hear he does some great things in vol 9 or something. Not that the anime’s covering that far though.

And the tech in Accel World is really so patchy at times, as Dakkar pointed out. But I guess tracking every student’s movements might be a bit… intrusive on the privacy side of things, though they should have a warning flash if a guy tries to check in to the girls’ shower room.

Privacy? Now-now, what was that about the story I’ve read on news, how in States a high-school student was expelled because he logged into his twitter account while at school, and it just so happened that he twitted something with a word “fuck” from his home a night before?
Besides, it’s so easy to justify keeping logs of everyone’s movements that are reviewed by qualified personnel only in the case a crime/terrorist act/insert other crap government usually feeds sheeple…

Well, Japan isn’t USA. Besides, I don’t think Reki’s setting development skills are that high after the mess of Accel World.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Japan more restrictive when it comes to civil liberties compared to the Western countries? And the straight expulsion because someone walked into the shower room in middle school doesn’t indicate that AW setting is more liberal. Actually, with middle-school level education being mandatory even today, I wonder what an expulsion would imply in the first place…

I can’t comment on that since I don’t really know what real Japan is like. All I can say is that the author just makes things fit the story for him instead of the other way round.

I wonder if those neuro-linkers can recall previous visuals of their owners…

    Kuro, let me warn you. If you feel like ragequitting the show, you haven’t seen nothing yet. Sorry, old pal ^_^;

This episode still had KYH, and even brief trivial scenes still make me smile. The next episodes will have Noumi even worse than last ep, Haru at his very worst, and you will rage about Chiyu, too. I think what we’ll suffer now is the single most aggravating arc I can remember for any show that I generally like. You have been warned. Prepare for a few eps of unmitigated RAGE.

Then again, I really liked the new OP (highly spoilerific), and the ED was beyond cute. I mean seriously, KYH getting all jealous over her own avatar? I loved every second of it, down to seeing her toss away her own umbrella after whacking her avatar with it. SOOOO moe :)

Let’s pray that they will try to go through the material quickly. In a way it’s impressive how mad the author managed to make me while I read through it… that’s skill.
