Haiyore! Nyaruko-san 12

Haiyore! Nyaruko-san

Aww yeah! Elder God sentai squad for the final episode battle!

So, it turns out the Jouji Nakata character was the real villain after all. He was targetting Mahiro apparently because he thinks that Mahiro knows the location of the “legendary eroge shop” due to super-maniac Nyaruko. Wait, what?!

Also, that guy’s voiced by Jouji Nakata if you haven’t realized yet.

Man, the antagonists in this show almost always never make enough sense to me, but that’s okay since their role is to set up references/jokes and get pummelled by Nyaruko.

Well, as the ending arc for the show, the past two episodes are quite a bit weaker than the previous Yithians arc but overall, it’s decent enough and feels “ending”-y enough since it’s got Mahiro discovering how much his SAN points are gone he’s gotten used to life with three Elder Gods all lusting for his c*ck. Normally that’s not a good thing, but since this is Japan… it’s a-OK!

Overall, Nyaruko-san was quite a decent parody comedy show, while marred a little by how formulaic the setups each time are but it’s more than made up for when the show worked. Admittedly the character gimmicks wore off their laugh-out-loud properties quite early, but it was still funny enough to keep on going. While it’s not a must-watch, it’s a decent enough recommendation for a good comedy anime, provided you can ‘get’ the copious amounts of parody and references that the show is best for.

P.S. Kuu-ko logic is fucking awesome.

I completely did not expect the twist, and thus suffered a few broken ribs from my laughter.

Are you sure he is not looking for say… a Holy Grail? or using 666 beasts? or doing wierd experiments in a 10-story apartment block?

Maybe he is being his priestly self…

And thus Mahiro Yasaka has completed his transformation into a Witchfinally learned to simply accept his new life.
While far from perfect (Fate/Zero is way closer to that), at the very least this show knows how to keep us glued. Besides Nyaruko’s crazed binges, Cuuko’s twisted logic and Hasuta’s sexuality-confounding cuteness, it’s the reference overdose that really stands out.
And I, for one, do not regret watching this show.

    Here’s one for another season.
    Uu~! Nyaa~!

P.S.: I wonder what would happen should Lloigor and Kirei Kotomine meet?

Good riddance to that butler, even though he’s voiced by Jouji Nakata. He shouldn’t pull off a rupture joke on Mahiro-san!
