Hyouka 07

By far the best scene in the show to date.

You know, it’s not like I really want to hate on Hyouka or anything, but every time Kyoto Animation dazzles me with scenes like below…

… it just makes me feel they’re wasting their talents that could be better utilized in doing stuff that matters like Full Metal Panic! or Full Metal Panic! or Full Metal Panic! or Full Metal Panic!

Hell, at this rate, I won’t even mind them doing Suzumiya Haruhi S3 because at least that show has Kyon being the Ultimate Snark and Mi-mi-mirakuru~ Mikurun-run~

P.S. I hope she’s not thinking what I think she’s thinking

radkliler: Chitanda confirmed for female shinn

no Kyon is fine because Sugita is there… totally not uncommon for such snarkyness… as for FMP! WHY NOT… or perhaps they decided to leave it…

Haruhi Suzumiya season 3? Well… if you’ve read the Light Novels before, I’m very certain you’d look forward to it, because the Post-Disappearance Stories are far more cohesive as a narrative than the Pre-disappearance stories.

Also, character development. And of course, there’s more, but it’ll be very spoilery.

KyoAni not doing FMP probably because they have no idea how to pace it and don’t want to be stuck doing it for several years like J.C.Staff with its shows…

i mean what do people want? the comedy stuff or the main story line so we can get to FMP Another?

You guys know that KyoAni takes orders from Kadokawa right? If they don’t want a new FMP, nobody’s gonna get a new FMP.

The only glimmer of hope is that, with Shinji Gatoh handling the script for Hyouka’s anime, some sort of deal is being worked on to bring FMP back.

…And this is why I’ve never stopped complaining in regards to KyoAni ’bout this issue.

Year after year, I get mashed in my face with Key-related stuff , S.O.L.s and moe. Seven years already, since I’ve had Chinese-lesbian sisters and somewhat real-robot mech warfare. Yet, they’re still here.

Oh well, glad that there’s still the likes of Madhouse, I.G. and Studio 4C. Now to return to being pretentious…

Its been six years since FMP:TSR and the novels are already finished. I don’t see why is Kyoani delaying the rest of it.

Risedawn: It’s not Kyoani’s call, but Kadokawa, and frankly the TSR sales tanked both locally and internationally. Going to be hard convincing the executives to bankroll another series after that disaster.

By my calculations it would take about 35/40 episodes to adapt the rest of the full panic novels.
A light novel normally is covered in 5 or 6 episodes. Sometimes in 4 episodes.

I haven’t picked this up, but when Kurogane is not liking a show for being too vapid, that’s an alarm bell and a half.

And can we stop with the FMP already? If someone thought it would have made money, any money at all, it would exist already. That’s how it works.

Hey this week’s episode was literally “CHITANDAEL GETS SPOOKED, HOUTAROU EXPLAINS WHY.”

Only Kyon might have a chance to save this show with his snarkiness. Houtarou is such a pussy at times.

    @Myssa Rei

Okay, so it’s Kadokawa who’s making the shots on the FMP! series. I understand that both Fujimi Shobo and Kadokawa we’re disappointed on what happened to TSR (even though I didn’t watch it), but I have a hunch that the latter would plan something big in the far future… which involves Fujimi, along with Dengeki and Media Factory.

But then again, it’s very crazy to plan a big crossover…

Who want’s FMP? That anime is a joke! Slice of life anime like Hyouka is a hundred times better than that trash. This from a guy who doesn’t really like slice-of-life anime much.

I mean jokes on FMP filler episodes aren’t even funny…. :/ The main couple is the worst pairing ever. Only the mechs are that show’s saving grace.

I miss FMP. Right now, I’m even willing to see it being animated by the likes of DEEN or JC Staff.

On second thought, maybe not that desperate. Yet.

FMP by modern KyoAni? Mecha action in the slide show format? Well, that would be innovative…

    yes, we need moar FMP!!!!!
seriously though, I like the things as they are even if the budget is wasted on manservice (hey fangirls need it too!) – and I loved the sudden twist of the siblings relations at the end. as eldest sibling of 4 I am fully aware of that having siblings is not all roses , but it can give you some of most astonishing heartwarming moment of the life.
