Fate/Zero 15

Yeah, but he’s doing jackshit for “ten thousand men”, if you haven’t noticed. Saber is really so damn naive sometimes.

Luckily, Lancer realizes the true side that should win in this case. Sigh, why do all the Lancers have Luck ‘E’? Such a huge pity… such a huge pity….

Aaannnnd with a few distractions taken care of (fuck yeah Berserker!), it’s time for Excalibur.

Aw yeah, new BGM.

Damn it, this new BGM to accompany the use of Excalibur was worth the three month wait. Really sent chills up my spine when I heard it. I sure wish there will be a standalone compilation CD of all the BGM tracks…

LOL, they took Jeane’s design from Fate/Apocrypha. Ah well, it’s been designed anyways, so why not use it.

Bye bye Caster. It was fun knowing ya!

And Gil’s back with his creepy stalker love for Saber. Oh Gil you.

Great conclusion episode to the Mion River battle with Saber using up her trump card. You can tell how much effort the entire scene was setup really, down to having an entirely new BGM for it. Count me impressed.

For the others, Berserker sure did a great one on Gil with the surprise flare-bomb taking him. Tsk tsk tsk, Gil is just too careless despite his haughtiness. Too bad we couldn’t see him hand-wield the Vulcan cannon ahaha.

Broskander was bro as usual, sacrificing his Noble Phantasm in order to buy time for the rest, You wouldn’t expect that from most of the guys in the game really. Luckily Lancer’s chivalry shone through and gave his own Noble Phantasm up for the sake of the common good too. Ahhh… next week episode is going to be pretty sad one T_T.

There is an OST available for Fate/Zero. Was released around a month ago. I have it. Will check if it’s got that piece of music in it and will post back here.

No it’s not in there. I’ve listened to the entire thing quite a bit of times already. It’s definitely new.

Which one is your favourite theme? I love them all but like Lancer’s a damn lot.

Not really looking forward to next episode with Lancer and all ;< I didn't know he sacrificed his spear to lift the curse. Music in this episode. My goodness. Eargasms all around.

Well it is a remix of Sword of the Promised Victory… I bet it will appear in the next OST

I yelled no!! At my computer screen when lancer broke his spear :/ he really is (too) honorable
Although there is no other way indeed to beat that freaking cthulhu
Super cool effect there for saber’s trump card although i can’t resist to think “you don’t say” when iri said “the name is…. Excalibur!” :D but i wonder does it always take her that long to “charge” the excalibur??
And an episode of fate zero won’t be complete without at least one engaging conversation, provided by broskander and archer this time. Overall, superb episode as usual!

Nah, repeating it won’t serve any useful purpose. :S

Good episode. Wonder how far they’ll get next episode. Maybe they’ll show

If it makes you happy, one of the Lancers in Fate/Extra has D rank in luck

So, that was a Spirit Bomb right? Saber basically just fired a Spirit Bomb

Salute to Caster, the pierro of 4th HGW. Your performing has been…entertaining.

Lancer’s too honor, to the point of flaw. He don’t realize that is actually his original’s downfall. Too good to be a knight, too loyal to be a lover and in the same with Saber, too damm naive (and Midorikawa’s voice to boot, dammit). How pitiful, Lancer, how pitiful.

Sorry for being repetitive, but I can’t help but in awe w/ it. Like you said, the animation on is fabulous!!

I know Caster is a bast*r who does not deserve that kind death for killing sooo many children mercilessly, but still the scene with Caster and Jeanne was really beautiful!

Also, Did anyone find the moment that Iri does not know how to operate her own phone interesting?

Lancers have the luck of the Irish?

And it just occurred to me, but wasn’t it pretty much Rider vs Rider battle that Berserker and Archer have pulled during the last two episodes?

    >>Also, Did anyone find the moment that Iri does not know how to operate her own phone interesting?

Come on, Rin wouldn’t know how to operate a Bluray recorder more than ten years later, so it goes in magic families :D

Haaaaa, that makes since, I just though since she stay w/ Kiritsugu for a long time, she should at least know how to communicate w/ him by machine. After all, he did teach her how to drive……..^_^

Sorry, I mean “sense” not “since”, there dose not seems to be a edit option….

  16. Das Said,

Rider is so awesome that everyone wants to be like him. Saber will be doing some riding of her own quite soon …

  17. Dakkar Said,

    April 16, 2012 @ 3:35 am

Must be electronics. After all, the car she’s driving, coming from 50’s, is as analog as it gets. There should be a good reason why Kiritsugu didn’t get her one with an auto transmission :)

Saber had the riding skill in her description in F/SN even though she’s never used it, so it makes sense. You can also expect pretty much anything out of Gil, but Basacar doing some flying…

And, frankly, both Gil and Iskander on their own can get old pretty soon if given more screentime. When they’re together, though, there’s a good balance, not to mention that the less screentime Saber has, the better I feel about the show. They should just leave her do the stage lighting :D

  18. Roarke Said,

It was a subdued part in this episode, but seeing Kotomine’s smile for the first time was pretty goddamn unsettling. We’re seeing the first signs of the shitty priest from F/SN…
