Jormungand 01

Jormungand

Jormungand

Some people just want to watch the world burn.

I definitely didn’t expect Jormungand to get an anime, but I’m glad it did. Looking good so far from the first episode, although the art style might take time to get used to since it’s a lot more… “stylish”. No matter, the action scenes were well done and Itou Shizuka really brings Koko to life. Definitely a much better role for her than being a student council president.

    Peace through Power! In the name of Kane! Kane needs an anime… weaponizing tiberium and defeating the imperialists that is GDI.

    yea give 1st ep did ok fine sure it like squad version of black lagoon & bad eggs ko everyone even koko.

    & only thing missing is like put face paint on koko with her saying “why so serious?” aka a female joker.

    lol @ squad version of “black lagoon”

    Most of the team compromise of ex-soldiers, special forces, counter-terrorist, etc. So yeah you won’t find any Japanese white collar worker in there.

    I am very happy this got animated [jumping around like a maniac ]. The action scenes/dialogs are very charming.The OP, [borderline] by Mami Kawada is gorgeous. I can not wait for the full version to be released. Did anyone known when? I am sooo willing to paid for it.

    *lol*

    Oh my god, what did I just watch? It was only the Shizu-sama doctrine which got me to try, and gawd, was that fun! I hadn’t tried the manga (and definitely won’t while the anime is running), but what a surprise. Very character-driven, hyper-cynical and _fun_.

    Sold. Season ticket GET.

    PS: Kurogane: What’s wrong with student council presidents? Shizuka Itou _is_ Hinagiku – I’d say that this is her defining role ;)

    It’s an indirect jab against Medaka Box ┐( ¯3¯)┌

    OK, so I wasn’t the only one who had mistakenly taken it as a Hinagiku reference. Although, with the start of the season we’re seeing, I’ve almost forgotten that Medaka Box even exists by now…

    Eh? Is she playing Medaka, too??

    *scratch head*

    I hadn’t heard about that, but I seriously doubt that Shizuka Itou is a good cast for Medaka. Then again, I’m no big NisioIsin fan to begin with…

    I’m watching this show not for the gun porn, but for Shi– I mean, Koko-nee and whateverthatlittleboy’snameis. Boarding on a sailing ship opportunity, yo.

    … Yeah, I feel guilty of that. Do as you wish to me now.

    This show is fucking fabulous! I haven’t seen a show like this since Black Lagoon.

    @Mentar

    You must’ve missed Kurogane’s bitter rants about Itou Shizuka NOT getting cast as Medaka, but instead the role was given to some no-name voice actress who’s usually cast as ditzy airheads.

    (I kid, I kid… but you know what i meant.)

    Aaah, I get it. Well, it makes sense.

    Anyway, I’m not too fond of Medaka Box. It started out alright, but after some eps, it just turned into babblemania galore. Yes, colorful babblemania, but illogical nonsense. And it’s common for Sizuka Itou-Characters to be on the smarter end of the spectrum. Medaka on the other hand is… bizarre. Definitely not smart. Very loud, very determined, and essentially always right, but not because she’s making sense, but because NisioIsin wants it this way. Not my cup of coffee. Don’t defile my Shizu-sama.

    Is it obvious that I don’t like Medaka much? ^_^;

    Eh well, then her character is working on you. I think an overarching topic in Medaka Box is how Medaka is too perfect that no one likes her much.
