Guilty Crown

Guilty Crown

Whoa shit, Shu acting pretty badass there. I’m not dreaming this entire episode am I?

Guilty Crown

LOL wut. Oh man, this is getting pretty social commentary now isn’t it? But seriously, teh bloody fuck how they made that Genomic Resonance Counter thing and Tsugumi just had to conveniently pick it up from the terrorists last week who conveniently already have it somehow but no idea how the fuck to use and she conveniently manages to figure out the exact thing it was. They really have horrible composition skills.

Guilty Crown

Man, I sure didn’t expect Haruka to join the dark side. She does know her own son is trapped in there and she’s helping the same people trying to kill him… right?

Guilty Crown

Lots of Tsugumi this week, which makes me very very happy.

Guilty Crown

Oh man, her Void. Or more like how she pulls it out.

<+sagematt> From now on I shall only refer to “plot devices” as “voids”.

I have to say, I’m inclined to agree.

Guilty Crown

Best omake art yet so far. Oh man, that Void is certainly abusable.

Well, this episode is probably the most decent yet so far since…. the episode where Haruka got introduced? Still that isn’t saying much, but I will grudgingly admit Shu finally did something on his own accord this week.

Still I’m not liking how the show is going with the “convenient” magic tool that allows Void powers to be ranked. I mean, the whole time we’ve been shown Voids as some kind of plot hax that allows the characters to conveniently bypass certain obstacles or give them some magic ability so it feels kinda stupid to suddenly have a tool that “conveniently” spits out a numerical figure to rank them. And then Shu’s giving in to Yahiro’s “help” with his governance of the school. Not a very good idea when he’s a backstabbing, drug-pushing psychopath. Really, Shu, you have shitty taste in friends.

Oh well, no point griping about it since Shu’s still fucking retarded after all, even if he can pull off some cool stunts. I’m sure allowing Yahiro to run shit for him is going to backfire gloriously soon enough. In fact, the next episode preview has a shot of Shu lying on the ground all beaten up and shit. I’m going to prep a nice bottle for next week’s episode…

I don’t know if I should be happy or sad that I picked this up again starting from last week’s episode.

    PS: Tsugumi <3

I have exactly zero expectations for the storyline… bunch of teenagers with voids ranging from overpowered to useless in combat is not going to match the military – oh and in reality should such emergency occur the entire area would be probably gassed out (see Hinamizawa…) – why allow people time to organise and start resistance…
I also find myself at odds with specially sleazing-up the opposition movement. They would be completely reasonable assuming the government would be anything short of genocidal. Oh and should the government really go genocidal, everybody is screwed anyway.
The slow reduction of the quarantine area reminds me of German liquidation of jewish Ghettos in occupied Poland, btw.
last but not least MAHOU SHOJO TSUGUMI MAGICA!

Any bets on how many units the first volume will sell? I say 5000 units.

too many twist in this episode,
1)haruka joining the GHQ? i thought she cut ties knowing the the motif of company
2)inori start killing , coz unwanted/filthy ppl touch/harass her . so far i know only gai and shu ‘touch’ her in the while series, from the way i look she seem ‘infected’ with mana’s virus and it wont be surpise later on she become like mana

3 student die and no one know about it … i thought they do have something like ‘attend list’ or something
3)the whole school is only fully with student and this keep you wondering WHERE IS THE FUCKING ADULT? it seem the story skip too much plot.
4)inori genome resonance = over 90000, while shu = xxx, so does it means that shu is only without void ? could it be the machine error or just because he got power of the king so dont need one

about the next coming episode, it seem someone have to ‘die’ as the title mentions, judging from the preview it could be hare as the title stated ( i hope not, coz i love her)

and as shu…., is this some kind of the joke, after he become the president O_0

speaking of joke… this what come out in episode:
tsugumi : do you have parents? do you feel lonely?
inori: i do for a time, that is when shu is not there , and i feel cold. gai told me that is ‘ lonely’.
    tsugumi: thanks for sharing…………. (-_-)

Shu beaten up since physically he’s not powerful without those VOIDS. I suspect Death flag sets in on Haruka unless she’s probably mind controlled.

Inori is the final boss of this show, I expect the evil-looking scientist guy with glasses from the Undertaker team is now working with GHQ.

Either Yahiro only needs one instance of badassery to pick a “King of the High School” or he is setting Shu up to take the fall later on.

I really hope it’s the latter.

I assumed Inori’s void rating was OVER because she’s too closely related to Shuu (being some sort of vessel for Mana) for the machine to tell a difference.

Which is pretty inexplicable, considering it can tell you the genomic resonance between four people down to 1/10,000 of a point, and you figure the first two things you’d program into a such a device would be a chimpanzee or other closely related primate to set a baseline score of 0 and then a default value for family members (identical twins of course having the highest value)

I mean, if you can get similarity scores down to 1 / 100th of one percent of the one percent difference in human genomes, that part of the plan should have been the easiest part.

Also gross Tsugumi end card, do not want Tsugumis.

Is Inori the final boss in the same sense that Nadeko is the final boss?

Lol. You’re never going to give Shuu a break no matter what he do. It’s like what some people say that sometimes once you’re down, they will keep kicking you down no matter what you do. Sad really…

Anyways… hell yeah Tsugumi!! So many great expressions this episode from her.

    @ shinkirou
Maybe Haruka is now sort of an “insider” now so in a way she’s not part of GHQ.

  10. Giovanni Said,

Ok…even I must admit Shu looked pretty badass there.

Then again…why am I still watching this?

  11. Silver Said,

    January 28, 2012 @ 5:35 pm

So….Shu doesn’t have to look straight at the eyes of the target before bring out their voids anymore? How convenience.

It was pretty badass to quick draw a void like that though.

  12. shinkirou Said,

    January 28, 2012 @ 8:28 pm

so it seem shu have really ‘level up’
    now he can :
    1) take out void and at the same time make ppl unconscious (if he dont like that guy or so)
2)take out void and let the owner use his/her void in conscius stated ( but it seem doesnt apply to inori)
    3) able to draw out void without eye contact , possible without even looking at age ( stated in the series must at least 17 below). but seeing shu is only 2nd yr (age 17) that means he able to draw out 3rd yr student void without applying condition.

  13. Saangi Said,

    January 29, 2012 @ 2:06 pm

Has Anyone considered the possibility that Sergei gave the void meter to the terrorists so that it will end up in shu’s hands? Like I mean that guy is bat-shit fascinated by voids so it wouldn’t be weird if he gave it to shu just to see what the people would do with it. And it wouldn’t be surprising if they have a Void Genome Meter cos they are the people that kinda created the Void Genome in the first place. After all they had to know about Voids before making something that can draw them.

    Meanwhile, ALL HAIL TSUGUMI!!!!!!

  14. R Said,

    January 30, 2012 @ 3:53 pm

@Saangi – my thoughts exactly. What better way to destabilise their society by undermining the concept of equality? Besides, voids aren’t batteries – each has a different function, so you can’t just compare two and say that one is stronger or worth more.
