Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon 13

Kyoukaisenjou no Horizon

Hahaha, Horizon still hasn’t learned much on making breakfast it seems.

Well, that ends this season’s run of Horizon. The hidden gem of the season, Horizon took a loooooong time to really get going, but once it did, it became quite enjoyable. The true star isn’t really its cast, but also the quirky and amazingly complicated world setting that came out from the mind of the original novelist.

I have to give a lot of thanks and appreciation to the Kyoukaisen Infodump for expounding a lot on of the hidden backstories and world settings that the anime couldn’t put out. When you know how much stuff that’s behind the scenes, so to say, you also start to appreciate and admire how Sunrise and the production committee had the balls enough to pull this show off too.

It’s going to be another looooong wait for the second season in Summer 2012.

Liked: Yes
Rewatch: Probably will need to do so to catch all the references.

Probably my favourite show this season. Sunrise did an exceptional job on this, and I definitely can’t wait for the second season!

Really quite the amazing ending. I wasn’t expecting much more than some epilogue and a bit of wrapup, maybe a sequel hook or two. But this was one of the most action packed episodes of the season! And not in a rushed “oh shit its the final episode!” sort of way.

Though it did end on a cliffhanger that will take even longer to resolve than Fate/Zero’s!

well, i know its gonna be hell to be waiting for Summer(the longest half-a-year starts now), but i heard some info saying the second season will be a 2 cur(24 episode) so maybe that might make it worth the wait

btw, i seriously respect all the seiyuu for their contribution on this awesome series. no one can revive the character more than they did, especially Horizon(Minori Chihara FTW!!), awesome singing at the end

I’m happy I managed to bear through the initial stale part. I loved the second half of the series…*___*

Nice to see more people appreciating Horizon ( ゚ ヮ゚)
It’s just understandable for the first part to be really boring as hell; the novel is just hell to adapt into something both comprehensive and non-boring. I think the show straddled it pretty decently, but it’s not that good as a standalone, without any references. Still, I think it was worth it. Truly an underrated show.

Forgot to mention, get the character commentary tracks that go with the bluray release – they do even MORE explanation and stuff! Like the tech specs of the El Azul, for example, or how Nate was getting all pissed about them running around town blowing things up because as a noble, she’s obligated to pay for all the repairs LOL
