Mawaru Penguindrum 21

Mawaru Penguindrum

Indeed, looks like there’s no turning back now for this show.

I can only hope the resolution actually is one.

It is not logical to me, Kanba didn’t go to his grandfathers house once his father died. But it’s also not logical that three kids would just be abandoned and have to live by themself, or that a corpse can lie and decompose for years in an abandoned ramen shop without anyone noticing.

Interesting that the guy handing Kanba the money had also disappeared when Himari entered, are these Kiga people real, or something created by Sanetoshi?

@hurin: ??? The Kiga man who gave Kanba the money actually came out with him.

@hurin: Kanba is disowned, along with his father. That’s why Kenzan took him in. Also, they explain in Episode 5 why the ‘siblings’ don’t want to be separated.

I think this clears up who Kanba’s parents were. I think it was rather ridiculous with the over the top j-drama-esque theories about Kenzan fathering Kanba and Masaka from a previous wife while being Masako’s lost father.

Supernatural stuff aside, it seems that after long time of suspicion we can label pink-haired bishonen as main villain. Kanba is getting used by him, and is strolling the path towards destruction while being manipulated by illusion of saving Himari. Himari herself might become a second coming of Momoka, and derail the world salvation thru destruction plan – again, with or without diary. It will be good to have Masako on the good side, possibly with Ringo and Shouma in the tow. I wonder if Keiju and/or Yuri will survive the shadowy Kiba group agent, they could be helpful in the endgame too.

I have a question: so how do penguins add into the equation?
Or are they just in the show for being distractingly cute and hilarious?

And everyone forgot about Project M…
