Guilty Crown 06

Guilty Crown

Gai just gets better as a character every week, while Shu is barely improving despite everything.

Well this episode, while decent, could have used some improvements on everything that wasn’t focused on Gai. Even the action scenes were fucking lazy this week, like when Inori showed off her badass pistol pose, but then the shooting itself got panned to a bunch of bullets flying around. Even the Endlave battles were like pans and stills orz. Felt like they just spent most of the action quota on Gai’s solo Endlave takedown and Shu’s Void Cannon sequence. I guess it was kinda awesome he managed to combine the Voids.

Next week’s preview looks like half school life, half action time, as Gai gets to show off his bishounen charm yet again. God damn, it’s like they are making Shu as pathetic as possible in order to bring out the awesomeness of Gai even more. Herp derp.

Coincidentally, this week’s Persona 4 also featured the first fusion Persona…

Seriously, this week was pure comedic gold. A group of (allegedly) elite soldiers with assault rifles runs around a corner and sees a little girl. That little girl shoots one of them gangsta style with a handgun, somehow penetrating their body armor while receiving no recoil. How do those trained soldiers react, instead of, say, seeking cover, spreading out or just plain shooting her? They start to scream and run towards the girl, never using their weapons. What exactly did they plan to do once they reached her anyway? Throw their weapons? Beat her up with good ol’ fisticuffs?

Stromtroopers academy of tactics, anyone? I bet a bunch of oversized koalas armed with sticks and stones could defeat them too…

and one more idiot ball, on strategic level – you dont build a network kill o sats aimed at specific country and then build control center in the middle of that very country!

Apparently all that character development back in episode 5 never happened.

Either that or Shu is retarded.

So any bets on Gai dying by episode 9? Or episode 17?

Gai is unkillable unles they pull off deus ex machina… and now they pulled one to get Shu back to school -btw did you really believe GHQ will erase all data concerning him? (and gets amnesia en masse?)
