Fate/Zero 06

Oh man, starting the episode with Ilyasviel driving like a maniac was so unexpected. Then came Caster to set.. uh… things right back. Hard to imagine, yeah?

Anyways, as expected, the episode is a break from the fighting, which has gone for quite a bit, looking back. Sola-Ui is formally introduced in and I already like her.

Spot on, wife! Kayneth is pretty damn pathetic for a husband who claims to be a high-level mage, etc. etc. Kiritsugu sure went all out on the couple though, bombing the entire hotel just to get rid of him. Though I don’t think they will be gone that easily…

Rest of the episode was taken up by Gil drinking Kotomine’s wine.

No, seriously. Well okay, that had a talk of what-not about pleasure, roots and humans too, but it pales in comparison to how fucking FABULOUS Gil looks in his casual clothing.

Next week should be about the hunt for psycho Caster. Is it time for epic yet?

Is it Osama bin Emiya or Kiritsugu bin Laden?

And Ilya is a bit too young to have a driving license yet. But Irisviel sure got even Saber scared of being in the same car with her…

And yes, both Gil with Kirei’s wine and Kirei with Kirei’s black keys (guess wine qualifies for treasure, but keys don’t) were mighty fabulous. Their conversation makes me forgive the lack of screentime both of them had so far. Now we just need Tokiomi to die sooner to have even more of it.
Now that I think of it, Gil managed to have an interesting conversations even with Shinji. Well, in that case it was more of a monologue, thankfully :D

    You mean Kotomine’s.

You mistyped Irisviel as Ilyasviel. Anyway, she should be in Initial D with her mad drifting.

Gilgamesh is like Aizen. When you walk in the room, he will be there lounging on a couch, with a drink in one hand and a condescending smirk on his face.

Seems like you made a few mistakes in typing this out due to being drunk off the awesomeness of this show ;x

There are way too many names and this is what happens when you watch a show and blog it within an hour of waking up.

When I heard Caster and his Master were stealing children in the night, I was like:
Fate/Zero comes with its own Bad End for Shirou!

  8. Dakkar Said,

    November 6, 2011 @ 11:53 am

Bad end for Shirou might be a good end for Ilya…

And it looks like BD`s are going to include uncensored “the return of the Caster” scene and expanded conversation between Gil and Kirei. This is what I call fanservice done right :D

Sola gets her hand chopped off. The one with the command seals. Then Maiya pops Kaynath and Sola dead.

    oh well…
1.dropped a skyscraper on him :P Kiritsugu certainly does not hesitate to use biggest weapon available
2.they never have found the body – unless Saber’s wound suddenly heals, I’d be wary of scratching off lancer – he might be trying to do a last stand even if his master(s) are dead and he is running out of prana?
3.even evil (mage) has its standards – I assume Caster is going to be dead soon
4.massively multiplayer conflict of interests – church and its judge of the war
5.I completely understand Caster for once, for back then watching FSN I’ve mistaken Saber for Jeanne too, until her real self was shown.
6.Gilgamesh the Epicurean and Kirei in search of a purpose – certainly an interesting duo to watch. Bonus points for Kirei for being able to spot Maya’s vantage point and using certain very familar weapon – it appears church has some standard armament training…

rofl at Iris. Looking at her makes me really wish Archerko really existed :/ Fate would be more epic imo.

Kirei is a first class executor, after all. Not quite on Ciel’s level, but still. Kiritsugu mentioned it when looking through his background check, so at least it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to them.

Why did Kotomine throw a dead bat with an explosive strapped to it? It makes no sense, why not just throw the explosive? It’d make more sense if the bat was alive because then it could fly quietly in that direction…

It would have made perfect sense if you saw the previous episodes, that bat had a camera on it and was seen and mentioned numerous times. It’s a good idea to pay attention you know!

You don’t seem to remember episode 5…
It’s the familiar (with the camera on its leg) Maiya sent on behalf of Kiritsugu to observe Kirei and the church.

Judging by Irisviel’s reference car as toy,and the style of that cool car, I got the feeling that Kiritsugu had spoiled her rotten, no wonder Ilya become like that in Fate Stay Night….
Also, did Iri had a driver license in that place?

Kiritsugu has enough cash to buy on black market enough explosives to demolish a skyscraper, I bet this car IS pocket change to him… Hint: Iris’ family specialises in alchemy…
