Mashiro-iro Symphony 02
I really didn’t expect this show to be good after episode 1, but Miu-senpai totally stole the show for me! She is such a good girl ;_;

Kyokaisenjou no Horizon 03
Man, Kimi is the most fascinating character of the show so far. And that’s really saying something considering the size and eclectic-ness of the cast so far. Just when you think you had her sized up in a character archetype, she does a 180-degree shift and shows an entirely different side. I really liked how she showed her “caring big sister” side this week.
Other than Kimi, this episode finally explains about Horizon and the tragic event that befell her, which has apparently left and indelible mark on every one of Aoi’s fellow students. We still don’t know exactly her significance to Tori though, that still remains for Seijun to find out (for us as well). Surprisingly, P-01s, who is supposed to be Horizon’s main female character, has barely had any screen time at all. Ah well, not that it matters much for me since I’m not seeing any of her charms yet other than being a practical-thinking robot.
Last Exile ~Ginyoku no Fam~ 01

Oh man, for a premiere episode of a very nostalgic series, Ginyoku no Fam sure knows how to hit all the right buttons.
Vanship action? Check.
Dio flying upside down? Check.
Immelman turn? Check.
The birthday song? Check.
hitomi vocals? Check.
Hell, even Exile showed up out of nowhere casually. And Dio even recited part of the Exile poem too. Goddamnit, Gonzo.
Even with all the references to the original show, the real focus of the episode was on introducing the main cast. Fam is as I expected from all the previews I’ve watched… hell even probably a little bit more wilder than I expected, but god damn producers sure know how to give her some pandering moments as well *coughbeginningcough*. Giselle makes for a perfect foil to Fam, while Millia is a little prideful, but that’s to be expected I guess.
The really interesting thing though is how quite a number of the elements from the first show are in the series already. From the OP (which coincidentally feels so Sunrise…), it’s clear that members of the Guild are going to play quite a big role in the series, with one fella already pegged as a major antagonist from the looks of it. Claudia tech is very much still in use.. and of course the fact that Exile itself appeared so early too. Then there’s Alviss herself returning…. with Kana-tan as her seiyuu too. Goddamnit again, Gonzo.
Overall though, I think they got things right so far with Ginyoku no Fam so far, but will it be able to sustain this through 2 cours? I guess we’ll have to see.

Fate／Zero 03
Oh man, this scene of Saber with Irisviel was so d’aaaaww I actually shed some tears. Glad to know I can post about an episode of Fate／Zero without relying on cameos of Rin/Sakura/Ilya.
Rider is really turning out to be even more awesome a bro than I thought. Liked how he openly wanted to buy a 10 B-2′s and then thinks of declaring war against Bill Clinton ヽ( >∀<)ﾉ AHAHA AHAHA AHAHAHAHA.
The real battles are finally commencing too… with Saber vs Lancer as the opener. Gil vs Assassin doesn’t count since it’s clear that was just a performance by Kotomine.
Shakugan no Shana Final 02
Oh wow, this new evil Yuuji is really fabulous lol. Look at Bel-Peol blushing like a school girl there.
Plus, he uses his hair as a shield/weapon! How much more fabulous can you get?!
Yeaaaaaah, keep this up, J.C. Staff. This show might actually become properly entertaining now!
