Fate/Zero 04

Oh wow, that some epic fighting there. Sure, half of it was spent talking but when they did exchange blows, it was pretty amazing. Hard to imagine this is actually a TV anime and not a theatrical movie. I just hope this quality level keeps up for the rest of the cour. Guess now that one cour break they’re taking is quite justified if they want to continue delivering quality of this level to the fans. Better start saving up $600 for the BD-Box to answer that passion!

While almost entirely taken up by Saber vs Lancer, Iskandar sure knows how to steal the show when he feels like it.

I mean, saying that boldly in front of Lancer is one thing, but Saber? Hurrrrrrr ( ゚∀゚)アハハ八八ノヽノヽノヽノ \ / \/ \

Then we’ll just have to wait for the OTHER king to show up and Gate of Babylon everyone.

Yeah, no Gil = wasted episode :D On the side note, I don’t believe that his identity gets revealed during this war, though, as Saber had no idea who he really is when when he made his first appearance during the fifth war.
And really, I’ve almost forgotten by now, but Saber truly is a boring character after all…

I do recall that Gilgamesh’s identity being revealed when he and Iskandar duels it out

Waver was cracking me up with his face when Iskander loudly proclaimed his identity. New expression shot for /a/

Hm, then it’s either that Saber’s never got wind of that, or there’s a continuity issue…

Iskander screencap also reminds of the Ousama game in Carnival Phantasm.

Iskander figure it out but never said his name directly and it was during the meeting of the three kings. Not surprisingly Isakander’s time period was closer to Gil’s period then Sabers.

i kinda like raider’s attitude – showing off and fear nothing no wonder he is ‘alexander the great/iskandar’ at the same time, feel pity for his master. though they make good combination team ; weak/timid with strong/charismatic. hope they survival till almost end of the game, dont really wan them die off so soon

I see, that makes sense. Plus Alexander has conquered Persia, which Uruk was a part of by then, while Arthur has never been anywhere close to that region…

LANCER! God how I have awaited this day. To see Lancer in his animated glory. Frigging beautiful.
I know who I am rooting for.

Forget the look on Waver’s face…

…did you see the looks on Lancer and Saber’s faces?

Also one and only one complaint.

The battle was ridiculous AWESOME!!!! I have to pause one or two times during the clash between Saber and Lancer, to take a breath. Especially at end when Iskander charge in on his ox chariot! Now I understand why people keep saying his badass. I was WWWWWTF face and speechless (literally) the whole time when he’s doing his introduction. Man, he really does not care about the “not naming yourself rule” does he?!

Out of all the Master and Servant, I think Waver and Rider will have the closest relationship. Some of Rider’s advice will probably shape Waver into a better man in the future.
When Rider said, ” you are in the present of the king.” I was LOL, and thinking yay, there are two kings gathered. No word or words in my dictionary can describer Rider. Although it is hard to imagine he is the fastest Servant amount the seven, but I heard Alexander’s noble phantasm is EX-class… Is it true?

About Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, due to his charm, his master will have some trouble…..later……

The production quality so far has meet up to my expectation, I wonder if this kind quality can continue through out the eps…hope they will not run out of money to keep the epicness going.

Also, Berserker!!!, looks like my man Kariya will finally appear next week, can’t wait, this is going to be even more epic!!

Zleihsh: Lancer is always the servant with the highest physical speed, but Rider would be faster then him in his chariot. Since Rider uses that Chariot as his normal mode of transportation, yeah he is the fastest.

to conquer and not humiliate… what a noble ideal from rider!
…and it perfectly fits the way he incorporated local nobility – Persian and of other countries – into his empire building, in real history
oh, and that duel made the series already into annals of history of anime, and this is just the start of the series!

The Saber vs. Lancer fight was awesome! Even with the reasonably large amount of dialogue there was in there.
