Kyokaisenjou no Horizon 03

Kyokaisenjou no Horizon

Man, Kimi is the most fascinating character of the show so far. And that’s really saying something considering the size and eclectic-ness of the cast so far. Just when you think you had her sized up in a character archetype, she does a 180-degree shift and shows an entirely different side. I really liked how she showed her “caring big sister” side this week.

Other than Kimi, this episode finally explains about Horizon and the tragic event that befell her, which has apparently left and indelible mark on every one of Aoi’s fellow students. We still don’t know exactly her significance to Tori though, that still remains for Seijun to find out (for us as well). Surprisingly, P-01s, who is supposed to be Horizon’s main female character, has barely had any screen time at all. Ah well, not that it matters much for me since I’m not seeing any of her charms yet other than being a practical-thinking robot.

Toori is interesting as well I think. Horizon was soo important to him and some if the others but not once had he shown any sadness. Do you even wonder why? Even the others had shown sadness when rhinking of Horizon. He even at the road of her death in which he had difficulty going in was still smiling as he went through it. Masazumi now wonders why he is always smiling. He probably the one that is in the most pain hence why he is always supported by the others even if he at a first glance silly. What do you think?

Oh, Toori’s attitude is clearly a mask for his feelings, one he’s been wearing for a long, long time. While many characters in his place would have become brooding and insular, he took the opposite track, and along the way brings up the spirits of everyone around him.

But how must he felt, a year ago, when he must have seen P-01s outside Blue Thunder the first time? A doll that so resembles Horizon.

When I saw this on this season’s anime list I thought it would be garbage, but it’s turning out to be a lot more interesting and entertaining that I thought.

This episode was pretty good. Watching Tori walk back and forth was amusing to me for some reason.

    @ Fencedude
Yep! Yeah I wonder how he felt as well. Normally that would bring back a lot of painful memories right? Still curious as to how he must have really felt.

Hehe I actually read the synopsis on it and read some discussions on it in the forums so I already felt that it might have a lot more than what it initially shows. I also expected the start will be slow (which is is) until later.

Amsuing seeing Toori walk back and forth? Lol! I felt the same way and… did you see that pole dance? Lol!
