Steins;Gate 23

Steins;Gate

Now this is what I call a good episode. Going from the depths of despair to FUCK-YEAH-I’LL-DECEIVE-THE-WORLD-FOR-LOVE in 24 minutes is win. Using Sky Clad Kansoukusha as the insert/ending song helped too.

El Psy Congroo, Kyouma.

The World God Only Knows 156

The World God Only Knows

Uh oh Keima. Uh oh. Looks like he might be heading for the dreaded “love triangle between good friends” rut. How is he going to solve this?!

And who’s going to save Haqua from her captors?!

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée 10

Ikoku Meiro no Croisée

Oh Yune and her fascination with cats…

This turned out to be a fairly normal episode of Ikoku Meiro, with a distinct lack of Camille. Not that I hated the last two episodes, but it felt really out of place, you know. I wonder if they are going to swing back to that, considering there’s only 2 more episodes left.

Instead we get to delve in to Claude’s past with his dad and living up to his expectations, but not quite reaching it yet. Looks like this may serve as the temporary series ending arc for now.

We also got a bigger glimpse in to Yune’s childhood with her sister too. I can’t shake the feeling something tragic happened with Yune’s elder sister, since she sounds so sad every time she reminisces about her. It seems that might be revealed next week, judging from the preview in this week’s episode.

Oh god, Blu-Wraith is scary in a whole different way. In a way more terrifying than watching Sadako’s tape. I don’t think I’ve heard Tomokazu Sugita use such a high pitch scream before lololol. Props to Miyuki Sawashiro for that awesome performance as Blu-Wraith.

Also remember kids, it is NEVER a good idea to put a blu-ray navigation system on a scooter.

Hanasaku Iroha 23

Hanasaku Iroha

Takako sure can pack a mean punch when she is angry.

This turned out to be a “bridge” episode mainly. First, Takako (with Satsuki’s help) and Ohana head to Tokyo to track the swindler producer down and for Ohana to meet up with Satsuki to discuss her future plans after Kissuisou closes down. First part went well and they even had some aunt-niece bonding time and for once Takako isn’t the annoying reverse weaboo she usually is. Guess they finally spruced up her character a little.

The other part of the episode involved Kou meeting Satsuki by coincidence at his part-time place. This somehow led to her bringing him out for lunch and then going back to her office to view the camera test footage of Kissuisou that was taken a few weeks back. The NTR siren couldn’t stop ringing for like half the episode lolololol. Somehow, Kou watching the footage hardens a resolve in him regarding Ohana… which leads to a dramatic fade-out scene of him bumping in to Ohana as she’s heading for her mom’s place. The end.

Well, Kou and Ohana shippers will be happy to note the positive developments accompanying this episode but not much of note actually did happen this episode itself. Aside for the false NTR alarm raised for a while there. Looks like the real meat will be coming in the next episode instead. It just amazes me a little at how they are still dragging things out though.

Oh well, it’s almost near the end. A little more to go!

Inb4 the penguins have special power to nullify the injury and the guy in the bike is actually Masako.
