Sacred Seven 12

Sacred Seven

Probably about the best scene in the episode.

These days, I wonder if Sunrise organizes an internal competition to see who can write the shittiest stuff ever to be animated and then whoever manages to sell the most wins a bonus or something. Otherwise, I find it hard-pressed to explain how can they write their shows this year in such a way that it just keeps getting shittier and shittier and shittier. If it isn’t intentional, they must be hiring fujoshis to write or something. Oh wait………

Ok, my very insulting outburst aside, I guess this episode was a rather pretty fun romp for an ending, as they even ditched OP/ED to add on more action. At least it wasn’t just fucking TALKING TALKING TALKING EXPOSITION and then spend half the episode on a flashback again. Arma gets morphed in to his final form and dispatches off Kenmi with a Giga Drill Breaker move, which is hilariously ironic considering the entire setup AND Kenmi’s seiyuu (see this is why I’m suspecting they are hiring fanfic writers).

Even Night gets an upgrade and becomes white, but oh my fucking god he looks fucking ugly in that getup. And don’t get me started on Fei’s Darkstone form. My god that abomination, what the fucking fuck?

Well, I guess as ending goes though, this was as proper as they could get from a show like this. At least I had fun watching Ruri’s antics earlier on. They really should have taken out the Rock Club though, Wakana and co. didn’t really do anything overall.

Finally, I’d like to congratulate the Tiger and Bunny team for winning the bonus. I’m probably going to skip that second season.

No offense, but if Sunrise wants to hold competitions where stuff like T&B is better than everything else, then they can have it their way.

At least if it exists, I do not need not to see more Yuru-Yuri/Ryo-Kyo-Bu and the likes feeding the otakus of 4chan/Sankaku more crap than it ever needs.

Or if we want something in the middle, why not just go ask any bloody studio to make something better? Maybe something more original?

Oh well, I guess that is why I’m losing faith in anime these days. So much of a single genre, and so, very few of everything else.

Well they made two shows and allowed one to have all of their creativity and the other their crappy craziness.

somehow, i feel that the ending kinda rush, and keimi screen time is so short and doesnt require much time to defeat him although he is ‘ last boss’ of the series swt!!!

Funny how Sacred 7 was the series where all the budget went.

Twelve episodes just isn’t enough. They should’ve gone for a full 2-cour to pace the story properly.

Doesn’t matter, no one’s going to remember this by next season anyway.

I can’t believe that I find UtaPrince a lot more enjoyable than Sacred 7, especially considering that I am never a fan of shoujo anime (you see, I was curious about that anime after watching its infamous ED…). Well, at least T&B ending was not so horrible…/sigh
I think that many anime in this season have promising plot/setting but storywise are dissappointing…I’m pretty frustrated with S7 and Dantalian no Shoka in particular =_=

Well, at least I enjoyed the action/drama/romance, or what was left of it in the show.
    Otherwise? lolSunrise.

Did kinda like that bit about Aoi actually liking Kagami. At least there would be no angle for stealing Arma away from Ruri.

Alas, this show ended happily ever after! Yeah, right…

This show was mediocre. The best part of it was the giga drill breaker. Well, I know their next series, Gundam AGE will certainly fail to live up to the standards set by 00.

Fight scenes: A- (the minus is for skipping the fight in favor of the shipping episode.)
Story: C- (When the three-sided standoff fell apart in favor of Knight’s redemption, I knew this would happen. Remember, Knight sent the first few monsters after Arma and co.)
Characters: C+ (the characters fall pretty well into their archetypes.)

Based on the combination of the grades, you almost feel as if Michael Bay helped with this project. Though Bay creates epic fights, he falls flat in terms of story and character development.
