Kamisama Dolls 11

Kamisama Dolls

I will have to agree with Mahiru, those “two” are pretty outrageous.

Guess we finally know why Kyousuke called her a “typhoon” last week. She actually does teleport around in a typhoon-ish barrier thing.

It’s sad she only appears right when the show’s about to end, because she’s really stealing this show entirely, what with her out-of-control antics coupled with that arrogance and a one-track-mind towards getting Kyohei. Kana-tan sure sounds like she’s enjoying the heck out of this role. She really should get a few more roles that allow her to go entirely crazy like this.

Can’t wait for next week’s KamiDoll already!

    “What are these anyway?”

I am just going to take a wild guess and say boobs.

    @NakkiNyan

Unfortunately Mahiru doesn’t have any experience with those lol

Anyhow, if someone could invent a way to stab TV show characters through the screen, they’d be a very rich person (perhaps it’d be a peripheral in the form of a Cintiq-esque screen, where you use a knife “stylus”; knife wounds and blood would appear on the character as an overlay). I was enjoying the show up until Mahiru appeared.

The scene when Mahiru was stepping on the box with cookies was probably the first time I enjoyed watching Utao. And I start to think that animators are actually mocking the character designs considering how outrageously disproportioned Hibino looked on the sideshots when Mahiru was mounting her…

Hibino never had a character anyways, just the boobs(remember how noone remembers her name, she is called the girl with the big tits :D). Rooting for Mahiru even if I know she wont get what she wants =P

In the scene where Hibino appears first in this ep, they start with focus on b00bs and then pan to the face… This is all we must know.
Mahiru probably doesnt know that after submitting the village to laws of modern Japan, she will have her toy taken away, and all that power with it. What a total stupidity. And she accuses Hibino of being stupid? Hibino was quick to discover Mahiru is being manipulated…
Mahiru while fun to watch from distance, should be probably best taken out by a sniper the way Balalika dealt with some other ax crazy kid in Black Lagoon… better yet, a hellfire to her doll would leave her defenceless and easy to throw to mercy of the all others she trampled on (and I dont mean the cookies…)
On the other note Kirio and Moyako were similar in iteractions to with Shinji and Misato with NGE. “Did she say something womanlike?” BTW Moyako is much better imho than Mahiru, she can be stingy but not cruel.
Alos, Utao watching her cookies trampled, and creating complex drawings on characters interactions was just priceless.
And yes, Kyouhei sucks at negotiating. I would just point out that she doesnt want her doll destroyed by the military if she will resist the law.

It would seem that Mahiru simply doesn’t take anyone other than Kyouhei seriously, including that diet member. Looks like she thinks that if she and Kyouhei join hands, then they can take over the village and rule it as they see fit. And if some commoners get in the way… well, bad for them.
Considering that two of them are the strongest seki and she can pretty much kill the diet member any time she wants, it’s not like she’s completely delusional.
Mahiru is clearly a royal pain in the ass for everyone other than Kyouhei. Well, for him she might be even more of a trouble, unless he decides to accept her and makes sure she realizes who wear the pants in their relationship.

The truth is, taking this show seriously and trying to analyze the aspects of characters’ actions and personalities is pretty much pointless – this show isn’t that deep. And from the pure entertainment point of view, Mahiru is just a blast, especially considering how bland the rest of the cast is. Moyako isn’t bad either, but she’s more stereotypical and has pretty limited role/screentime…

I don’t care how annoying Mahiru is, she’s got at least 50 times the personality that Hibino does. Aside from episodes actually having something to do with the main plot, Mahiru is saving the series for me. Unfortunately it seems inevitable that it’ll switch focus back to Hibino.

@ Dakkar – she might kill the diet member of course… only that would end with her being chased by whole government and eventually killed. As succintly put by someone earlier in the series, as single kakashi has about as much power as single tank, and could be easily defeated by organised military. Getting Kyouhei to tame her would be great idea for a new series, though!

It’s not like Mahiru has to kill the guy in the broadlight on the main street. Add in a little fire to burn up documents/e-storage, and here you go. Kakashi don’t have all that much firepower, but being a weapon most people won’t even believe in, they make a neat assassination tool. Well, several hundreds years ago they were enough to take over Japan and beyond, but I don’t expect to hear why it hasn’t happened.
A series where Kyouhei takes back Kukuri, goes back to a cool version of himself we were able to see for a whole two minutes so far, sends off Utao, dumps boobs…erm, Hibino, and proceeds to tame Mahiru, while Moyako does the same to Aki sure sounds like something fun to watch, which also means we’re never going to see anything like that…

The point is killing an equivalent of Senator in Japan is going to let the all police powers to hunt the suspect… and Mahiru is anything but subtle in her actions.
Re: Taking over medieval Japan – it is easy to forget that the weak point of kakashi are the handlers – what easier than to poison one’s food or stab him/her in the sleep, or employ any number of the other ninja ways of assassination.
Re:our imaginary series – while I like Moyako, I like Aki X Kuuko better, because of their shared insanity :3 And if Utao wants to play brocon then Kirio is great way to play twincest card :P
