Exactly my reaction when Sui walked in to the bath when the three girls were taking theirs.
Ok, someone explain what they were high on when they did the bath-service scene this week and decided that Sui should show off her kick-ass nakai skills in it as well. Poor Nakocchi and my own sanity. Seriously, what were they even thinking?!!
Right, let’s put the weird bath scene aside for now and concentrate on the episode. Firstly, Kou x Ohana fans will be quite happy this week as we got a really quick resolution that basically had Ohana all but verbally confirming her own feelings for Kou.
Yes, you may express your joy just like Kou did.
Otherwise, the episode was dominated with the Kissuisou closure issue as Sui sticks to her guns even as the rest are about to go on an open revolt against her decision. Things get complicated when a sudden rush of bookings flow in (with no thanks to Satsuki) and Sui still decides to close the inn despite the wave of bookings. Taking some time off and bringing Ohana to the Shijima family grave, Sui explains the rationale of her decision to Ohana… who doesn’t quite accept it, but kinda understands it, I guess. Still the others are putting the heat on Sui to keep it open and actually backing Enishing to head the inn in place of Sui. Oh dear.
Two more episodes left for this show and they certainly are setting it up to end with a bang. Kou x Ohana are temporarily resolved for now, but I hope they do confirm each other before the show ends and not leave it like this. Would be a sin if they did. I wonder if this will end with Satsuki or Ohana taking over the inn though.. Sui is right, Enishi is probably not very suited for the job on his head right now.
Hopefully, this will be the last week of weird bathservice scenes too. This episode’s serving of it was way too surreal…
