Steins;Gate 22

This was certainly quite the mushy episode as Okabe and Kurisu finally confess their love for each other and say a looooong goodbye before Okabe flips the switch and moves past the 1% barrier. Kurisu’s reaction when Okabe said he loves her was pretty priceless. Also I wonder how far they went after the kiss marathon.

But of course….

Out of the tiger’s mouth, and in to crocodile’s teeth (as they say it over here). Looks like Kurisu’s death made things even more fucked up as now, it’s not SERN to stop anymore, it’s the bloody World War III. I assume nukes will have been liberally used.

Wow this week has two heroines wet and see-through this week. Good thing I’m type O so it’s easy to get some blood from the blood bank to replace the blood lost.

Nukes and time machines! An endless cycle of reversal of causalty (with nukes)! Maybe this is why Christina became the head of SERN.

You need to be type AB to be dubbed “the universal acceptor”. The O blood type is the universal donor, but it is the most difficult to transfuse (accept) blood because it has antigens against both the A and B type.

Hence you’ll probably die of blood loss…unless your bank only stocks on O blood.

    You’re callous, Kurogane. Throughout the ep I was fighting hard to keep my manly tears where they belong, and had this been ep24, I would have failed… and you call that “mushy”? Gawd ^_^;

    OH SHI…
This was a pretty good episode. And we get to see Suzuha again!

The one thing that confused me was after using the IBN, Mayushi says “You don’t need to talk like that anymore, I’m fine now, you can cry for yourself from now on”. Does that mean she’s retained some memories from the alpha world lines?

I am with u Mentar, this was an emotional episode for me. With this Okabe and Kurisu are now up there with my favourite anime couples of all time along with C.C. x Lelouch and Senjougahara x Araragi. I am going to rage however if it becomes some weird thing where Okabe is the one who stabs Kurisu to avoid WW3.

@Mentar: It was mushy. Especially the kissing marathon scene. The DoKupe part was cool though.

Honestly, I felt like crying at Mayushii’s “You can cry for yourself now, Okarin” line more than the whole Okabe confessing to Kurisu.

I liked it more when they were trading snarks with each other I guess, instead of saliva.

For me it was one of the bes kiss scenes in all anime.
Often they stop at the first kiss as if it was the culmination of a relationship!
I am glad that in S;G (and Toradora) they shared multiple kisses, it’s more realistic.

YES YES YES YES YES. I played up to this scene just before watching this episode, they do the exact same thing in the VN with the credits rolling and Daru getting a call from Suzuha. dear lord that was glorious

Glad to see they stayed true to source. Well, it was too early for the show to end. There’s still a whole month left for Summer!

So, 2eps left (+one DVD-only ep) to end this o.O

Having re-listened to the beta-worldline drama CD, I basically know what’s to happen next.
Though I’m wondering, said CD was 1h+ of length of contents, and it still ended in an open end, which means: that 1h contents of the drama CD + a final conclusion has to be compressed into 2eps, 3 at most.

Wondering if that is even possible, I believe in the production team which up till now didn’t fail in the execution of Steins;Gate. So being anxious on the one hand, I am also looking forward to see how they will manage to finish this on the other hand.

I cried after watching this episode. You’ll be forever in my heart, Chris.

And holy fucking shit, I KNEW there’s some shit bound to happen knowing that there are a few episodes left.

Kurisuuuuuuuuuuuuu ;___; . You’ll be missed. Hafta agree with many people about the kiss. It’s one of the best I’ve seen. And SUZUHA?!! You’re back!!! :D

So…4 episodes max to resolve this WW III business and hopefully some of the other fallout from the other timeline…

…can they do it? (under the assumption that it is a 24-26 ep series of course)
