Mayo Chiki 08

Mayo Chiki

That was a surprisingly d’aaaaaaw moment.

Yes, yes I know I’m late. There were some extenuating circumstances for the lateness, but never mind, have some yukata first.

Mayo Chiki

There? Happy?

Another fun entertaining episode of the “elopement” trip again, but the spotlight was truly stolen by the grave visit. Crazy antics in the form of Nakuru’s drunken fist stripping was to be had as well, although I felt the fanservice lost a little energy overall in this episode. Mainly yukatas and a mizugi collage scene didn’t quite provide the stimulus as I hoped. Well, it felt like they were filling in time for the episode just for the grave visit scene, so I guess that couldn’t be helped.

Next week might prove to be better, with the meido uniforms galore. Also a new character?

Jirou really pushed himself to his limits by just holding, and finally giving an “it’s alright” hug to Subaru. Lots of guts from him to pull that off, really.

No mention of Subaru’s special circumstances regarding her mother? At least it’s one of the factors why she seems to have little friends outside of Suzutsuki and her other maid staff, besides the whole “must hide her gender while being her butler” thing.

Kanade always manages to steal the episode with just a few lines for me.
In this episode I loved her malicious “Oops, I shot and killed Usagi-san”.

Oooooooooh. I want a kiss from Suzutsuki, that’d be awesome. <3

And does anyone know how many episodes this anime has?

Pretty sure this anime is 12-13 episodes.

This episode coincides with the end of Vol 4 of the light novel, and there’s only 8 volumes out right now. At this pace, it seems incredibly unlikely that they would try to go up to 24-26 episodes unless they want to shoot way past where the novels are.

Man, this show is pure brilliance. This is one good reason why I say “TGIT”…
