Hanasaku Iroha 19

Hanasaku Iroha

Hanasaku Iroha

Suddenly, the Hime x Hime ending has been triggered…. NOT!

So, the school festival arc begins and it looks like it’s gonna be another Minko-hime development arc, although Ohana, Yuina and Nakocchi have a healthy dose of screentime for each of them as well. Basically Ohana, Yuina and Minko’s class decide to do a “Hime Cafe”, with Yuina in charge of fanservice and Minko in charge of cooking, but Minko’s “professional” attitude gets her into trouble with her own team. Meanwhile Nakocchi decides to join the organizing committee and gets too close with a senpai… which apparently freaks her out. So much for changing herself for the better, eh?

Still, it seems the show is upping the fanservice level to new heights. First we have Yuina in the old Kissuisou waitress uniform….

Hanasaku Iroha

Then, all out fanservice…

Hanasaku Iroha

Hanasaku Iroha

And even Kou-chan gets to appear after so long!

Hanasaku Iroha

Though, I’d rather he not if that’s the only way for him to pop up…. ORZ

Next week, the war over omurice. Seriously?

Welp, there goes whatever respect I had for Minko. So much for my favorite character of the series.

Now, which one was next in line again…?

    …oh!

    LONG LIVE THE HERON

I can actually empathize a lot with the whole episode, its nice to see that Hanasaku Iroha actually brings in all the lame school drama that happens to people everyday.

@Athos Really? My respect for Minko increased after this episode.
But Yeah, LONG LIVE THE HERON.

Minko was very real, but really – would you want to deal with a person like this in real life? You run into them in volunteer organizations all the time – like, oh, I don’t know – fan convention staff. Self-deluded, loud, unyielding and without social filters. Even when they’re right, they’re destructive of group dynamics.

@Mitch H. Really? I found the Yuki girl more destructive to group dynamics. She is only thinking of catering to one particular customer even though they are doing a cafe and is bringing in personal feelings into work. I don’t think Minko did anything wrong by telling her to gtfo.

“She is only thinking of catering to one particular customer even though they are doing a cafe and is bringing in personal feelings into work.”

The same can be said of Minko. Minko’s only motiviation going into this is to impress Tooru with her cooking. I suspect she feels omelet rice is too far below her skill level.
